We should've just had the Melbourne Hard Trance Reunion to recap but since Covid has postponed that, it will not postpone February 2022 being all about the old school classics and obscurities that made up the 2000s hard trance and hardstyle.

HARD KANDY's 20th Birthday Celebrations
The warmup mixes by The Principal

20 years of Hard Kandy. It's a wonderful story. Leading the way in Melbourne for the harder styles in dance music in all their shapes and sizes for 2 decades. 

Their history is legendary.
Their legacy is everlasting.

It's only fitting that I pay my respect as one of the members of the 20th Birthday lineup to all 20 years of its existence as best as I can.

First up, here is an all vinyl mix featuring tracks from all the years of the 2000s which incldues some essential Hard Kandy favourites, some of my favourites from the DJ Practice era (my former alias) and some other unknown/rare goodies I forgot I had on vinyl.

I haven't mixed vinyl for about 5 years so the quality is not exactly 100% but it's pretty close.

MONTHLY MEETING Ep 46 (Ft Razzputin And The Makk)

After years of practice, The Principal brings a mature and diverse approach to raw and melodic hardstyle in Australia. 

Since October 2016, The Principal, better known as Sam, has supported dozens international acts at some of Australia's finest events, including B-Front, Crypsis, Darren Styles, Rebelion, Da Tweekaz, Ran-D, Adaro, Sub Zero Project, Phuture Noize, Digital Punk, Hard Driver and the late great Delete to name a few. 

He has played for established Australian brands such as Masif Saturdays, Hard Kandy, PHD, HSU Events,  No Sleep Entertainment among others as well as touring Europe in 2017 and 2018 playing in the Netherlands for Boulevard Outdoor and in France for Hardpulz.

He organised his own events under the Surge brand and now focuses on small occasional events at Top Yard Rooftop bar in Melbourne

His energetic, tough, melodic and emotional approach is unrivalled in Australia making him the no 1 choice for fans and promoters alike.

Approaching 10 years into this project, The Principal is still standing strong for quality music that takes you on a journey!
