I've studied mixing, mastering and studio engineering under the legendary Pete Day himself, collaborated vocally with Marc JB and performed Live vocals at a number of local events.

I began my life as a vocalist in primary school, where I was made to sing hymns daily. It wasn't until I became a young teen that I started properly appreciating music, primarily rock and metal. Sometime around then I began making karaoke covers on youtube. I made about 60 of them before I ended up getting a job in McDonald's, stopping so as not to draw attention to myself at work.  I worked there for 2 years till I decided to make music in 2015 and joined an access course at Deep Blue Sound Plymouth to study electronic music production.

Now I look to graduate university in 2019 and am on the path towards both bettering and expanding myself musically and otherwise, in the process.

STAASIA, formerly known as Staasia Daniels, is an R&B singer/songwriter who has quietly established herself as a rising star with her captivating body of work in music, and entertainment. Known for her sultry and soulful vocals, STAASIA’s music veers into the dreamy and steamy side of R&B, with lyrics that explore vulnerability and raw emotion. Miss Staasia has performed at major festivals such as SXSW, A3C, Canadian Music Week, NXNE, and Manifesto, sharing stages with artists like Ari Lennox. Beyond music, she has ventured into content creation and hosting, gracing the red carpet at the inaugural Legacy Awards in 2022, where she interviewed notable figures like Kardinal Offishall, Melanie Fiona and more. In 2023, she received the Achieve Award for Canadian Arts in Music presented by TINFF.  Supported by OAC, SOCAN, and FACTOR, STAASIA’s latest EP, Unheard Volumes, and upcoming project Was It Something I Sang are set to define her place in the new wave of R&B artists.
