It's a pleasure to welcome Mariner + Domingo from the US for our podcast series! The last year saw the US duo rise through the landscape of progressive and organic house. On the strength of 2020 releases via Balkan Connection, RYNTH, The Purr and Stellar Fountain, Mariner + Domingo began the new year with their latest Sound Avenue vehicle ‘Move On’. Highlighting the release was the Lee Burridge supported ‘Another Life’ which quicky rose to the top of the duo’s best seller’s chart.

Journey - Episode 108 - Guestmix by Plecta

We welcome Andre a.k.a. Vandelor for the sixteenth edition of our 'Deep In Mix' series. He is an emerging producer from Lima, Perú, and has been making waves in the scene with releases on imprints like RYNTH, Canopy Sounds, Circle of Life, 3rd Avenue, ThePurr, WAYU Records, etc., to name a few. Initially, he started experimenting with Progressive House and later on found his true territory in styles like Organic House, Afro House and Melodic House.

"I got into production a few years ago when my head was overloaded with melodies that wanted to be brought out and written in reality. I love Organic House for its texture, atmospheric, dreamy and chill vibes. I've crafted this mix to exhibit the same. My all-time favorite artists who always inspire me are Gorje Hewek, Izhevski, Lost Desert, Volen Sentir, Amonita, Makebo, Hernán Cattáneo to name a few", he shares.

With this mix, Andre showcases his flair for deep melodic grooves and his capability as a selector of fine tunes. 'This mix has a lot of unreleased stuff. Listeners can get ready with the 'ID please' comment in this magical journey', he adds.

NUKREATIVE, is the music project and brainchild of Jamesen Re & Danny Bonnici, two of Australia's most respected pioneers of the Australian Dance Music scene.

One of Australia's most talented musicians and producers, Danny Bonnici is a true wizard of his craft with a long history in both the studio and on stage, most notably with seminal Australian progressive breaks outfit NuBreed.
Fellow Australian DJ/Producer Jamesen Re also best known as the creator and visionary behind the truly iconic SUNNY SIDE UP parties during the late '90s and early 2000s, joined forces in 2017 tapping into their mutual passion for deep, melodic organic and atmospheric House Music.

In 2018 the duo made its mark on the global dance community with their hit release "Equanimity" on Magician On Duty with major support from the likes Double Touch, Kora and Sebastian Leger to name a few. Their follow up releases include labels such as Kindisch, Balance Music, Open Records, The Purr. 2020 has started off in fine style for the duo with releases All Day I Dream, Dusk Till Dawn and TRYBESof and more recently in 2021 Renaissance and Beat & Path.

From his early years he showed interest in music, which came natural considering the cultural growth and love of the arts that surrounds his birthplace.

This tribute is dedicated to Philip Cunningham aka Jakhira, an uprising DJ and Producer from Belgium.

I first got connected with him through Facebook, without realizing that he was actually producing music. We had occasional chats, but every now and then Philip would mention his music on Bandcamp.

Upon listening to Jakhira's tracks, I was struck by his dreamy and chill style, which is rich with melodies, soft percussion, and synths. I find his music to be refreshing, and some of his tracks are almost like ambient style with beats.

I was surprised to discover that some of Jakhira's tracks were mastered by Hermanez, which is awesome and adds an extra layer of credibility to his work. I'm looking forward to his upcoming releases.

I hope that everyone who listens to this tribute will enjoy Jakhira's music. Please feel free to leave a comment to share your thoughts.
