Having spent over 20 years in the rave game exploring dance floors all over the world from the UK, to the USA, to Korea, to Taiwan & beyond, Yugen Sill has an incredible musical knowledge that can only be gained from hours on the dancefloor. Knowing what works when & where. Not limiting himself to one genre Yugen Sill's sound encompasses everything from deep, melodic house, to hip hop, to enchanting trance, to eclectic electronica, to world rhythms, to gorgeous liquid drum & bass to banging techno & everything in between. All the time maintaining a sense of melody & having one eye on the dance floor at all times. Having dabbled in a brief journey behind the decks many moons ago. Eclectic and diverse, I’ve DJ’d/ organised events across the UK and Australia for the last two decades. From progressive beats at Halo (with Global Underground) in Newcastle to Funks Not Dead in Manchester/ Sydney and a growing number of gigs around Brisbane/ Gold Coast, I love to serve up dance inducing sounds. You can also catch my weekly residency on Dance Freex Radio, which mainly focuses on deep and melodic sounds. It honestly doesn’t matter if I’m playing funk & soul, progressive or any other shade of house. I just love music and will share a few mixes on here. The “Social Prohibition” series is deep, melodic, poolside prog while "Dirty Disco" is nu-disco and funky/soulful house, and "Deep in the House" is awash with groovy deep house.
