Hot on the heels of their track "Taff Pace" on Weekend in Amsterdam 2, Steam Shape are straight back on Respekt with the Fossil EP. The title track lumbers along with rave stabs and deep percussion mated to a groove that's less about pace and more about attitude. Label regular The Reactivitz takes the parts in a less overdriveb, but just as ballsy direction on his mix.
"Essence" is a no-nonsense peaktime slammer with rapid, squelching synth sequences and digital sirens. 
The third cut "Mens Rea" drops the tempo slightly for a foreboding trip into atmospherics, with an eerie horn melody set over a clanking, industrial drumtrack.
