Richard Ellis Lee (born February 7th, 1991 in Lakeland, Florida), better known by his nickname Champ Game, is a hip/hop and rap artist. His passion for music began at the young age of twelve when he would create beats on his little sisters' toy keyboard and record rap lyrics over his their “Just For Me” cassette tapes. He was constantly rapping and beatboxing around the house. He was strongly influenced by his favorite rap artists; Young Dro, Lil Wayne, and Plies. He grew up in a family with strong parental guidance and encouraging parents, despite hard times with finances. At the age of sixteen, Champ suffered with the hardship of losing his mother. He took on the responsibility of helping his dad take care of his sisters and being a man in the household. He started playing football on little league teams at the age of seven and continued to pursue his career throughout high school. He left the hood of Lakeland, Florida on a full ride scholarship to play football for the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. While in college, you didn't find Champ drinking and partying. He spent his energy and time focusing on football, his studies, and recording music. He saved his money to purchase recording equipment to better his “studio”, which consisted of a memory foam encompassed corner in his dorm room. He was known for disturbing the peace and having football teammates piled in his room making music. His passion for music had to become a hobby and be put on the back burner while pursuing football and graduating with a bachelor's degree. Unfortunately, he was unable to pursue his dream for the NFL. He decided it was finally time to give his music career 100% of his time and energy in hopes of being discovered as a new Hip/Hop and Rap artist.
