His former 13-piece Hip-Hop Orchestra (Chronic Electronic Orchestra) spawned Other music groups like the Avant-Soul duo THE MUMBLES, experimental Jazz group PEARRING KNIFE and the Jazz/Electronica group FILTER KINGZ. 

His work history includes co-founding the art collective BROOKLYN MEDIA LAB (2002-2004), writing jingles for radio, serving as music director for the animated online series WHIRLGIRL and songwriter for the Brooklyn "Kid-Indie" Rock Band AUDRA ROX.

in addition to remixing songs and producing emerging artists like NOLA singer/songwriter Tracey-Joile-Edwards, James is currently producing Chronic Electronic Orchestra's new EP entitled "Respect The Playlist" to be released Summer 2015.

WHITEBOY MIC ™, (Michael J.Hennes to the government) is an independent Hip-hop artist from the small college town of Ashland Ohio. He was born April,24th,1984 in Marietta Ohio,to a single mother of 3. He developed a love for Hip-hop at the tender age of 9. Constantly annoying his mother and two sisters with the likes of Dr.Dre, Snoop, 2-Pac, Jay-Z, and a hand-full of others. By the time he was age 13 he could spit almost any rap song on demand, verbatim. This is when he began writing poetry for the ladies and rhymes for the fellas. His mother happened to stumble upon a poetry book of 100+ pages and couldn't put it down until she had read every single one (some repeatedly). When he came home from school that day his mother asked what book he had copied all of this beautiful poetry from? "None" he replied, "I wrote them myself." She argued with him in disbelief. "I'll prove it" he proclaimed. "Give me a subject and I'll write about it!" So she gave him a subject he sat writing for about 10 minutes,handed her the sheet of paper for inspection. Before she could even finish reading the poem,she said "you have a gift don't ever lose it" At this point he was still skeptical of this "gift" At any rate he continued to write (not so many poems anymore) And the rapper within started to emerge. By the age of 17 he learned the art of freestyle. This was a pivotal era for him as he started to gain a more complex vocabulary and a versatile range of flow. At age 18 he recorded his first track and moved to Florida where he learned to produce his own beats. He is now back in his home state of Ohio. He has opened for several Platinum-Selling recording artists such as; Twista, Cam'ron, D12, Young Buck, Lil' Flip, &amp; Bizzy Bone. As well as Ray Cash,Potluck,&amp; Gel of UGK. Also in April of 2009 he Headlined his 1st show. The music scene is starting to feel his presence and it is clear that he isn't going anywhere,so hate it or love it "WHITEBOY MIC is Hip-hop!!!"
