Free because you don’t have to post it or tweet it, just take it…this album is 100% free. Bass because every track’s beat has a heart rattling low end. Alone these are simple ideas, together they became enthralling powerful. Free Bass is an auditory journey through a mind of a man hooked on music. Music is a drug. Anyone who tells you otherwise is probably such a track junky the silence to ponder such things hasn’t whispered in their ears for years, which is a state I strive to be in everyday. This album is 100% ET, an MC doing music for nothing else, but for the sake of music.

Crafted with a philosophy often quoted by hip hop legend Gza The Genius, “Half Short, and Twice Strong” Free Bass clocks in at just under 37 minutes, almost exactly half of my last project “pHone Home”. “Free Base” is made exactly how its performed at live shows and street performing with my tap dancing goddess/wife. Each song is crafted to stand alone as a single in order snatch any passer by’s attention. As an album the interplay of lyrics and ideas throughout is crafted to be so captivatingly cohesive that the album plays effortlessly.

The production is riddled with different styles which are glued together with bass that makes you go bonkers and intricately spellbinding Synth work. The only requirements for the beats were that they were entrancing without lyrics and when E.T. wrote to them the words magically appeared. You’ll hear live Guitars, Violins and  Flutes, but what you wont hear is dead space. Each instrumental was patiently produced and each one is the best ET’s had to date.

Most Notable Tracks:
“Mouthmatix” (track #1):Upbeat wildly dynamic instrumental logarithmically layered by sound scientists. Using the math of the mouth each lyric is carefully calculated to illustrate how basically complicated the art of lyricism is.

“99%ers” (track #3):Beautifully composed laid back instrumental layered with a fearless fiddle and cosmic clavinet. Each verse can be summed up by the last lines of the song “…The whole world in illegal downloading, Except 1%ers…they already own ‘em”.

“Slumpin” (track 7):A throw back to the future track with a slumpin bass line and vintage vocal sample serenading the soundscape. Wear Gucci? Drive a Beamer? Then this song ain’t for you. This song is for the scrubs driving P.O.S. cars, put it and slump it hard.

“Free Bass” (track #11):With a House instrumental as brain boggling and massively moving as this, one could almost hum over it and it would still be dope. But to write lyrics that could shine just as brightly, E.T. had to purify his style to it’s uncut raw core and came up with a verse doper than any he’s done before.
