My name is Gabriel Solano, otherwise known as G. Sol. I was born in New York, New York on May 21st 1995. I lived in the projects in New Jersey while the majority of my family in the United States continued to live in the Bronx, New York. After moving to The Poconos as a baby I frequently visited and spent time roaming the city with my brother and cousin. I’m Second generation in my family in this country, I’ve seen the ghetto with my own two eyes, I’m a first hand witness and even short time victim of the struggle. I chose the life I live, I didn’t have to do the things I’ve done.

I grew up in a time where if you want it you go after it, so i decided to do it in my own way. I was an athlete my entire life up until college, but music was my first love. I got a keyboard for Christmas one year as a baby and fell in love. I took a creative writing class my sophomore year which was the first time I was introduced to poetry, though I was very familiar with writing because i had been writing stories since I was 4 years old. I started writing raps instead of notes in class, junior year I switched schools and as a reaction to the change I started writing raps in class, I started recording by October junior year. I was constantly writing freestyles to songs, by senior year I was putting them out to the public.

Jimmie (J Metro) Moore is a Singer, Songwriter, Composer, Multi-Instrumentalist and Poet based in Houston Texas. Jimmie L Moore Jr. began his musical training at the age of 5 with individual piano and voice lessons, group musicianship skills were also learned at a young age when in middle school he learned to play the trombone participating in concert and marching band as well as joined several academic and community choral ensembles. Jimmie Moore received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Theory and Composition with primary instruments in Piano performance and Vocal Performance from Morehouse College.
 
While a Funk/Soul/Jazz base exists, you may recognize influences from nearly every musical genre known to man in his Self-titled debut album “J Metro” which was released on January 25th 2011 featuring the Billboard singles “Alcoholic Logic” and “My People”
 
“My People (All Over The World)” was released in 2010 peaking at #82 on the Billboard R&B Hot 100, #3 HotSingle Sales, #2 Hot R&B Single Sales, and #4 Bubbling Under R&B/ Hip Hop Singles “Alcoholic Logic” was released in 2011 following the release of the album and placed on the following billboard charts, #2 Hot R&B Single Sales, #8 Hot Single Sales, #16 Bubbling Under R&B/Hip Hop Singles.
 
Second Album “Metropolis Saga”, released February 19th 2013, has three billboard Charting singles to date in hit songs “Baby”, “Shades of Gray” and “Governor’s Anthem. Single “Shades of Gray” became the artists most successful billboard charting single peaking at #1 on the Hot R&B Singles chart.
J Metro has achieved increased levels of success with latest singles "Frosty" and "Bodyguard". "Frosty", released in December 2013, was honored by the Recording Arts Academy for it's commercial success by being entered into the "Song of the Year" and "Solo Pop Performance" fields in the first round of voting consideration for the 57th Grammy awards.  Latest single "Bodyguard" is distributed through Sony/Orchard Distribution and Spaced Out Magazine and first entered billboard charts in January 2015
 
J Metro has opened Faith Evans, Brian McKnight, John B, Mary J. Blige, Maurice Star, Allen Stone and Bruno Mars at the Arena theater and Warehouse live Music venue in Houston Texas. In 2013 J Metro toured West Africa as the headlining American artist in the Jazz A Ouaga Music Festival located in Burkina Faso. J Metro has recently been added to the Ambassadors list for Geneva, Switzerland.
