Prelude No. 1 for Piano in A Mixolydian

Therealphilgold hasn’t performed live since 1987, but hasn’t stopped playing and writing music for over 60 years. His musical tastes range widely, from The Chieftains to The Clash, from Dick Dale to Dvorak.  Primarily a guitarist and bass player, his earlier instrumental, guitar driven songs cover a spectrum from mellow lullabies to atmospheric rock. As his abilities and inclinations evolved, Phil has been increasingly tempted with “Classical” and orchestral music. Now a denizen of Spain, he has been collaborating with David “The White Haired Man” Hassler to both write and record new songs and add lyrics to some older works. 

Phil also has the dubious distinction of having the most-downloaded tune for 4 days among pre-teens in Malaysia …. It’s a long story ……
