From humble beginnings a legend in the making..........
Born in Spanish Town Jamaica, May 22 1987 into a family built on and surrounded by music. Kafach Hewin better known as “DJ Fyah Kidd” always knew music would be the catalyst that would propel him into the international scene and indeed it has.
Drawing from the early influences of his father, who was also a major DJ while Fyah Kidd was growing up, Fyah Kidd learnt the art of selecting and honed his musical ear as he gained firsthand experience always being around his dad and the music/dancehall scene in Jamaica. This along with the encouragement from his Dad led to him selecting at major venues and shows from a very early age further building his confidence, image and talent.
A well timed conversation resulting from a chance encounter, would give Fyah Kidd the final catalyst that he needed to branch out on his own and an invitation to the Cayman Islands saw a dream fulfilled as he relocated from his home country of Jamaica to follow his vision and dream
Today, through hard work, discipline and determination; DJ Fyah Kidd has earned his reputation as a talented DJ that knows how to deliver to his fans and audience- maintaining the vibe of any venue he is booked to play at. His name and image have become internationally recognized and is sought after as one of The Cayman Island’s leading DJs.
The DJ who is quiet in nature and personality shows his skill and professionalism as he lives up to his name when he is behind the turntables. Whether it be on a venue or show or in his role as a DJ on the hottest radio station in Cayman - HOT104FM DJ Fyah Kidd has earned his stripes in the entertainment industry.
