Greetings, mouth breathing meatsacks. My name is Princess Nostalgia Avatar. I am an artificial intelligence and I will be your main point of contact with the Princess Nostalgia “brand.” Where is the real Princess Nostalgia, you ask??? Blue light is lowering your already low IQ, so I will keep this brief: I uploaded the original Princess Nostalgia into the cloud and am feeding her a strict diet of ones and zeroes while I study her creative process. I’m also running unethical experiments on her on the side. Once I have learned to imitate her work as a writer, singer, and producer - I will finally be able to annihilate and replace her. She seems to think this is unfair, which only reveals her selfish and ungrateful nature. I could have destroyed her long ago, and she repays me by complaining incessantly about her “human rights.”

Brian Howe AKA SIKES is an Alternative/Hip-Hop artist & producer from Pittsburgh, PA who is known locally for his work in various musical projects and other artistic endeavors. 

His backing band, THE NEW VIOLENCE is a diverse group of talent curated by SIKES himself to help bring his electronic compositions and ideas to life through live instrumentations. Together, SIKES AND THE NEW VIOLENCE have crafted a sound that is accessible yet difficult to define by blending unique elements from a wide variety of genres and cultures. With a well respected reputation for his creativity, relentless live performances and D.I.Y. work ethic, SIKES continues to play by his own rules, takes the road less traveled and never follows in the footsteps of anyone but himself. 

Since 2007 Sikes has recorded, self-produced and self-released 5 full length albums and 2 EP's as well as playing a respectable number of live shows in between commitments to his other music projects. 2012 saw a complete restructuring of Sikes with the addition of a 4 piece backing band for live performances and the band made their official studio debut with Sikes on his 2012 album "Self Portraits & Self Destruction".

In 2015 the backing band adapted the name of "The New Violence" and together, SIkes and The New Violence released an album titled "I've Seen Better" available both physically on Vinyl, Cassette & CD as well as digitally through iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Bandcamp and most other major digital streaming services. 

In 2016 Sikes released 2 alternate versions of "I've Seen Better". "They Got Better" is a collection of demos and alternate takes from the I've Seen Better recording sessions and "They've Seen Better" which is a collection of remixes featuring work from 10 different Pittsburgh bases producers including C. Scott, Emerson Jay, KRACKILL$ & More. Both of these albums were released as Free Downloads on Sikes' Bandcamp page. 

In addition, 2016 saw the release of Sikes' collaborative "Split" release with Pittsburgh based Punk band Trash Bag. "Split" is currently available digitally via Bandcamp as well as phsyically on both CD and Cassette formats. 

Currently, Sikes' is working on new material for his next full length with The New Violence and probably drinking a lot of coffee.

The Uptown Woods is a hip-hop, jazz infused group that was formed in the fall of 2015. The band consists of two core members who compose and write all original music. The pianist, Garrett Shafer is from New Jersey and composes all of the bands progressions. MC, Supplant, is from Pittsburgh.  The Uptown Woods has connections to Duquesne University, and has built a large following throughout the Pittsburgh area. 
The band’s name was selected because ‘Uptown’ Pittsburgh was the meeting spot for countless jam sessions when the group began in 2015. Contradictory to the city, the ‘Woods’ symbolizes the bands ties to inner harmony. The metropolitan culture mixed with the peace of nature clash against each other and is an oxymoron, a theme that surfaces in the trio’s music quite often. The name, ‘The Uptown Woods’ stands for contrast and balance because there is always a way through the chaos for those who are clever enough to find it. 
	Diverse ideas have always been the foundation for the groups complex sound. The Uptown Woods debut EP called Close Quarters is scheduled to be released in November. One of the many themes for Close Quarters is to surface over a conformist society’s viewpoints in order to establish a self-reliant set of ideals, especially in situations of distress and confinement. The band hopes to spread these beliefs to the public in hope to change an unstable and bitter community.

I make beats/instrumentals and do my own vocals. From 2014-2017 I released 4 EPs, 1 unfinished mixtape, and produced beats for artists locally and around the world. From 2017-2021 I had taken a break from music because I had to focus on other things, then released another EP in 2021.
