In August 2020, we rented a house in rural Pennsylvania to record a new EP. Our engineer Ian McNally loaded all his gear into a Town & Country minivan we got from our neighbor and we spent a week tracking the EP and eating corn. 

We genuinely love pop-punk, artists like Superchunk and Modern Baseball. We wanted an anthem at the center of the EP that felt nostalgic and huge. 

We thought, what’s more pop-punk than a song about a shitty high school relationship? But we didn’t have shitty high school relationships, so we named Bethany after this very beige house off of a highway in Amish Country instead. Pop-Punk tends to romanticize these bad relationships that are toxic for everyone involved and we leaned in.

If my music can make smile or cry, happy or sad, then I take it as an honor. If it can make you dance, all naked or not, just shake your head, give you confidence… well... that's even better !
If I sound too rough, too minimal, too strange or too punk, well... that's a big compliment for me. 
I know these songs are not perfect and need some more work... but it all started as a joke. And I can't believe so many people are following me today ! Everything goes so fast on the Internet. Your criticisms really make me happy and give me energy.
