This is the second single off our new album, Strictly Platonic (6/28/2019 release).

In 2016, we saw a show at The Waiting Room Lounge in Omaha, NE. The headliner was great, but there was a man who did not watch a single second of their set; he was off to the side by himself, dancing his heart out (ballroom and swing-style dancing, mind you). It was hilarious and awe-inspiring. We ended up seeing this man at various event around Omaha, also dancing to his heart's content. This song is about him.

earlier this summer, I played through the video game Sly 2: Band of Thieves with my roommate. we were cruising through the first episode, and there's a disco setting with some DOPE background music. it hit me so hard that I put down the game and immediately programmed the bassline and pulsing drum beat on my computer. the first verse and chorus of this song were written within the hour.

I say the F word in this song. I tried to take it out to maintain my Sweetheart Image, but the boys wouldn't let me.

The Real Zebos began as a dorm room project between co-founders/songwriters/frontmen Connor Brandt and Jordan Gaul after meeting on Craigslist in late 2014.

After nearly three years of releasing demos online to an audience of virtually nobody, The Real Zebos filled out their lineup to become a real band and begin playing live shows in January of 2018. The band hit the studio later that year to bring their demos to life. The result is the debut album “Strictly Platonic” – a nod to their Craigslist roots – which earned an “Album of the Year” nomination in the upcoming Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards.

You can find this five-piece (guitarist Jake Strange, bassist George Cooper, drummer Logan Swander) performing in Omaha and throughout the Midwest, winning over crowds with a combination of sugary hooks, strobe lights, and razor-sharp jawlines.
