During my last tour in 2019 of Europe I was invited to play live on East Side Radio: a rogue, underground local community radio station set up inside some shipping containers in the middle of a Portuguese ex-military complex, soon to be redeveloped into Lisbon's largest creative hub.

I have just stumbled across the recording from my set that day and thought that it would be great to upload and share. The mix starts at a humble 116bpm and glides through to the early 120's.

Looking forward to getting back over that side of the globe and reuniting with all of my friends. It's been way too long! <3

If you’re well-versed in underground and eccentric music then you’ve probably heard of Wheezy. If not, then you need to. No stranger to the scene, his passion for tactful tune selecting has quickly lead him to be a local favourite around Melbourne. 

Originally from Eltham, he has been growing his following since he started out matching beats 3 years ago, with his favourite genres being hard tech, psy tech and groovy bass house. His unconventional mixing style has got him noticed by crowds and promotors alike, whether it’s weaving unsuspected acapellas into heavy basslines or teasing the audience with sexy, seamless transitions from one genre to another.

Wheezy’s steeze has landed him gigs for some of Victoria’s biggest names, venues and festivals including Pitch Music & Arts, Proxima Freqencies, Pelican Villa, My Aeon, 303, Pawn & Co and a bunch of outdoor parties with many to come.

There are very few artists within Melbourne’s club circuit that could rival the speed and magnitude of BINI’s recent rise in popularity, and even fewer artists as deserving. 
 
As a DJ, one of the fundamental cornerstones of the art form is the ability to not only play the music that your audience wants to hear, but to have the confidence and aptitude to play the music that you yourself want to play. This subtle, but substantial difference is the distinction between an artist who plays for the dance floor and one that controls it. 
 
BINI is a natural on the controls. 
 
In March last year when Gabriel Moraes went Under The Lamp, BINI jumped on the decks for an impromptu closing set to cover an artist that wasn’t able to make it in the last minute. As was to be expected, that performance was incredible and we are happy to announce that right now we are releasing the recording from that very set for you to relive and enjoy. 
 
Very soon, BINI returns from Europe, having boasted sets at world famous venues including Sisyphos (Berlin) and Fundbureau (Hamburg). Closer to home, BINI has supported internationals as influential as Township Rebellion and appeared at festivals including LUFT and Esoteric. 
 
On November 19, BINI joins forces with fellow powerhouse Ebony Willis for what is sure to be an incredible Under The Lamp Performance:
