Jorge Luis “Twin” known to most fans as George Anthony was born in New York City and raised in Manhattan’s Chelsea Projects. The area was home to some of the hottest freestyle clubs in N.Y.C., (Heartthrobs, Funhouse, 1018, The Tunnel and the infamous skating rink Roxy’s just to name a few). George’s passion for music was initiated in 7th grade when his music teacher Ms. Martha Gonzalez played the piano and performed a song called “Finally” by Gary Chapman, it was in that very moment that he fell in love with music and his desire for singing was birthed. At one time, George attended Rice Catholic High School in Harlem, N.Y.C. and was part of the prestigious all boys school choir. He went on to participate in several school musicals throughout New York City where he could perfect his craft and share his newfound talent with the masses in his early years. The year was now 1987 and George Anthony found himself walking into Rock & Soul Records on 37th Street and 7th ave. in Manhattan, and purchasing the hit single by Loose Touch, "Bad of the Heart" feat. one of Freestyle’s brightest stars, George LaMond. It was that song that opened his eyes and soul to the music genre Latin Hip Hop or as we know it, Freestyle. 
In 1990, at the age of 17, he recorded a demo entitled “I LOVE YOU” with ARTISTIK’s owner, producer, and recording artist Willie Valentin, who at the time were neighbors. Willie and his partner Michael Anthony Bertot heard George singing through the vents of their apartments, incredibly enough. The demo will then be re produced by Nelson ‘FFWD’ Cruz and released on MICMAC / Cruzin Records in 1991. 
In 1993, he recorded and released the song "Am I Gonna Be The One" on MICMAC under the group name GROOVE THERAPY. Later that year still under MICMAC, he recorded the amazing duet "Take Me Away" with one of freestyle’s biggest female artists, NYASIA. George then became a vital contributor of ARTISTIK RECORDINGS compilation album writing and performing one of the compilation’s best songs "What Will It Take”. In 1998 George Anthony under his birth name Jorge Luis, released his first Salsa Album on H.O.L.A. Recordings - titled “Ayer”. The album charted on the Latin billboard’s Top 40, featuring his breathtaking hit song “VOLVERE” produced by legendary Miami-Cuban producer Osvaldo Pichaco. After the success of his Latin album “Ayer” in 2015, Anthony went back to his first true love Freestyle where he wrote, recorded, and co-produced the album "NOTHING LIKE YOUR LOVE" with one of Freestyle’s hottest composers and producers JAY ALAMS of JAMusic. Anthony once again teamed up with Alams and in 2019 wrote and recorded one of Freestyle’s greatest songs to date and freestyle anthem, "NOW THAT IT'S OVER” featuring his childhood idol the legendary GEORGE LaMOND. 
George Anthony stays inspired by recording music that moves his fans to dance and sing their stress away. The support of his loving family and close friends give him the confidence needed to continue doing what he loves. George Anthony is breaking all stereotypes of what people call Freestyle Artists. A gifted writer who has written several songs for some of Freestyle’s elite artist, there is nothing this man cannot do. Some people were born to sing, some were born to write, but George Anthony was born to do both. With a New Year approaching, things look extremely promising for George Anthony who is set to release several new projects in both Spanish and English. IN 1991 HIS FIRST PRODUCTION AS MAKING TRIBAL HOUSE MAKING DIFFERENT CREATED OF SOUND FROM BONGO TO INDIAN CHANT FROM ECUADOR CALL FEELING GOOD. IN 2003 HE JOIN WXTY 90.5FM IN BUSHWICK, NY A LOCAL COMMUNITY RADIO OWNER BY DOCTOR B AND DOWNSHIFTRADIO DEEPSOULHOUSE PLUS IN WHITESTONE, NY WHERE HE START FIRST TIME AS A PROMOTER AND DJ. IN THE SAME YEAR HE ALSO JOIN AND WORK WITH ROB FERNANDEZ FOR ROB PROMOTIONS AS HE START WORKING WITH LOCAL BIG ARTISTS AND DJS. IN 2006 HE MEET JOHN GUNGLE RIVERA FROM MULIT-MEDIA IN NYC TO TALK ABOUT UPCOMING ARTIST AND DJS TO PERFORM AT ONE OF THE FINEST CLUB IN NYC LIKE CLUB DUVET AND CLUB SPY KNOWN AS DISCOTHEQUE. AFTER THAT TIME HE MEET J.I. STARR FROM LA MEGA 97.9FM AND FIND OUT THAT HE HAS A GREAT TALENT VOICE TO DO COMMERICAL RADIO VOICEOVER IN SPANISH. AS THE YEARS GOES BY IN 2009 MARINO JOIN NITELINE RADIO AS HE DOES HIS RADIO ONLINE SHOW CALL ONE NATION UNDER HOUSE MUSIC. HE APPEARANCE AS MANY EVENT WITH NITELINE RADIO FOR RELAY FOR LIFE IS A CANCER EVENT AND THE PUERTO RICAN FESTIVAL IN THE BRONX NY. IN 2011 MARINO JOIN ANOTHER ONLINE RADIO STATION AND MEET DJ LOU AS PART OF THE MIXMAKERS WITH DJ ALBERT CO-CEO AND CEO DANNY THE FIRST ECUADOR DJ CREW IN NYC AND LAST FOR A FEW MONTHS AT THE SAME YEAR MARINO BECAME MANAGER OF DJ SLEEPY AND DJ KASSANOVA FOR LA X96.3FM WAS FORMER AS LA KALLE. HIS FIRST SPANISH GIG WAS AT SOFRITO RESTAURANT IN WHITE PLAINS NY FOR THE GRAND OPENING DURING HURRICANE SANDY IN 2011-2012 MARINO FEEL LIKE THIS IS HIS SECOND HOME. IN 2012 HIS FIRST SALSA MIX INTRODUCE FROM A LOCAL DOMINICAN RADIO SHOW LAINA EN SALSA Y MAS AS THE DJ OF THE DAY AND IN 2013 HE WAS ELECT AS CHIEF OF OPERATION OF FLEX103FM IN MT. VERNON, NY FOR COMMUNITY RADIO AND ALSO JOINS LAINA NEPTUNE AS PART OF RADIO PERSONALITY WORKING WITH HER IN THE CONTROL OF LA RADIO 99.7FM IN THE BRONX, NY FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS MARINO WAS A SUCCESSFUL LATIN DJ.

    Round One: New York, NY: Ruben Toro, a native New Yorker, fought his way through a musical journey by way of doing everything it took to enter into the top-ranking arenas of clubs. Ruben listened to club classics from the 70s and 80s, working out on turn tables and studying the pulsating beats of 12-inch club records mixed by some of the legendary DJs of the time. Preparing to fight his first bout, Ruben knew that the contenders were iconic and tough, like Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, and a multitude of other strong competitors. Ruben believed that he must train and prepare to win. After years of rigorous training with some of the top music veterans, including remixers, producers and engineers, he knew he was equipped to knock out his opponents in the first round.

    On an unassuming street in Manhattan’s garment district, crowds gathered late at night, to witness the top-ranking DJs constantly competing for their mark on the club scene, striving to debut incredible and infectious driving beats. “Clubshelter” was the premiere spot for anyone with an appreciation for club music and the who’s-who of the underground music world. Champion and sparring partner of all bouts, life-long friend and mentor, as well “Clubshelter” owner, legendary DJ Timmy Regisford, helped cultivate Ruben's mixing ability. The winner of this round: Ruben Toro, a knockout.

    Round Two: The summer of 1997 marked the return of the legendary "Club Shelter" and Ruben became its premiere opening D.J., knocking out all other contenders. Ruben has become well known as the champion in the music production arena. Remixing songs like “Osulade” for Yoruba Records, and knocking out "Don’t Change" by Erro. Another knockout by Ruben, he also remixed The Tasita D’Mour “Power” and DJ Kent’s “Falling”. With the success of these productions, Ruben went on to produce and remix many house music dance floor fillers on Vega Records, JellyBean Soul Records and not to mention on his very own Temple Movement Records. Winner of this round: Ruben Toro, a knockout.

    Round Three: Ruben Toro, winning by landslides in every round, now wanted to claim victory in the radio arena. Ruben begun to hone this craft through bouts as a DJ on Inncer City Broadcasting and WBLS 107.5 FM “Power Shelter Mix.” Claiming victory as a radio DJ, Ruben and sparring-partner/ mentor, Timmy Regisford premiered parties such as “The Temple” at the Tunnel, another legendary night club in New York City. Club promoters worldwide began flocking to Ruben as the reigning champion of the underground club scene DJs.

    Reigning champion of all time DJs, Ruben Toro, knocked out WBLS, and moved on to bouts with WRKS 98.7 KISS FM. Having started with guest appearances, multi-talented DJ Ruben Toro quickly knocked out all other contenders and made the mix show “Kiss Club Classics” his own weekly party every Saturday night from 12am -5am.
