Fatell is from Lancaster, California. Where he began his radio hosting career as the face for the Antelope Valley’s 100.9FM (The Heat)

He is in partnership with Willie Norwood Sr. (Brandy, Ray J) and has a distribution deal with Multi-platinum record producer Donald XL Robertson (XLP / Downtown) for his own record label, Fatell Music.

Fatell was named Socially Conscience Artist of the Year (2015) by Power 106 FM and KHCIA Foundation 

Fatell has written over 250 songs and has almost 20 music videos, making him one to watch.

Fatell's story is sure to inspire. He was brought into this world by an alcoholic father with a drug addiction and a mother trapped in the middle of his downfall.
When his father got clean, it provided a sense of normalcy. Fatell was inspired by the lyrics and message of Tupac & Notorious B.I.G. He began studying hip-hop greats, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Eminem, Big Daddy Kane, and other hip-hop pioneers who came before him. As he was learning the craft he would battle against other local MC’s. In this negative world, he created feel good music packed with substance.

Career highlights include performing on ESPN and at a Los Angeles Clippers Game.

Music brings people together from all walks of life and the story is no different for The Republics, the newest group from Southern California to burst onto the scene. On one end there is Fatell, a vicious battle rapper with an aggressive, urban style then there is Riddz, a songwriter/producer who is known for his funny, lighthearted personality. They may seem like an unlikely pair but when it comes to music, it is those differences that have taken their career to the next level. 
Easily recognized for dynamic beats and out the box lyrics, this duo blends elements of hip-hop, dance, rock and other genres to create a sound classified as experimental. Their music has depth, emotion and substance that breathes positivity into the industry. Proud of their Mexican heritage, the group is prepared to take the world by storm with their debut album. 
Although the success of The Republics seems to have been birthed overnight, their climb to the top began when they were teenagers growing up in Lancaster, California. At the age of 15, Riddz started rapping and making music. “I was always considered the underdog. I did everything on my own and never gave up,” said Riddz. His go-getter attitude has made him a diversified rapper, producer, songwriter, graphic designer and more. Throughout the years, he has produced music for a variety of artists including soon to be released music for Cold Flamez who gained popularity with the 2009 hit “Miss Me, Kiss Me.” 
Inspired by rappers like Notorious B.I.G, Big Daddy Kane and Eminem, Fatell started battle rapping local MCs when he was in high school. “I used to go to shelters and dorms to battle. Eventually, I started buckling down and becoming serious as a writer and artist.” said Fatell. “As time went on, I made my own connections and built a name for myself.” The long hours in the studio and dedication to his craft would soon pay off. 
Fatell and Riddz crossed paths when he decided to record a solo project. He was impressed with one of Riddz beats and selected it for a song on the album. Discovering that they have an undeniable chemistry in the studio, Riddz produced most of Fatell's album titled The West Kept Secret. In the midst of this project, they agreed to record a song together to capitalize on the worldwide phenomenon of planking. The unforgettable line “I’ll lay her out like she’s planking” led to their first single “The Original Planking Song.” After producing the record, Riddz went back to his normal behind the scenes routine which had him on the set of 2 Pistol’s new video for “Private Dancer.” When a manager on the set heard Fatell playing “The Original Planking Song” from outside he immediately took an interest it. The track was passed along to management and the rest is history. A song originally meant for fun turned into the key that unlocked their future and united them as The Republics. 
When asked what people can expect from their upcoming album, Fatell says it best: “They won’t expect it. It’s going to take them off guard. It will be unpredictable but there is at least one track for everyone.” 
The group has worked hard to make their dreams come true but they will never forget where they came from. They want to be the first to put Lancaster on the map and hit mainstream since fellow native Afroman. Some people doubted their ability to make it this far but these visionaries have turned skeptics into believers. This is just the beginning. TheRepublics are well on their way to dominating the charts.
