I keep coming back to KYG like a thirsty man to the ocean. 

Helluva Boss has been one of my favorite things coming out of the internet for a while now! Initially I wasn't sold on the pilot and I felt it was too fast paced but from Episode 1 they set a bar that i've seen professional work at NETFLIX fail to hit. Something about the scripts that don't have to go through miles of S&P and TV bylaws is just so satisfying. 

The pacing and animation are some of the best and GOD FINALLY AN ADULT CARTOON WITH A COLOR PALETTE WHY IS IT SO HARD!? 

When it came to characters this was initially a Striker song but I couldn't find enough about him to write about. We had a whole song planned about "Am I the gun or the bullet?" but it quickly was shot down when I lost all desire to complete it. So Moxxie was my next pick and if I had to do another song (which I might) it would probably be about Octavia, Stolas or Blitzo. 

I love this show and want to take this chance to thank everyone who worked on it for making such a solid piece of work. We adore you and your legacy will live on forever.

My thoughts:

I started writing this song long before the Legacy season came out. We had a teaser of what kind of character she would be and I was so inspired by the idea that I made the hook. 

The hook was so good that I obsessed over this song and set to make it my first big collaboration ever! I got a mixer onboard and then asked my old friend McGwire to help star on the hook. Eventually the mixer fell through as their life was hectic and couldn't support the collaboration.

After that I kinda just.. shelved Legacy and would play with the idea on and off. At a certain point I thought this song was going to just never see the light of day so I teased it to my patrons and on twitch and people seemed to like it. So now here I am with a new Apex Legends song, reworked verses and new takes of the singing slammed together in a project I am going to stamp with the "good enough" stamp.

Fullmetal Alchemist is my favorite anime to ever exist and when it came time for me to make a nerdcore song there isn't a single anime I would rather start with. This show was my first big addiction to the genre and I don't think it has ever been topped because of how focused it is on world building and its hard magic system. 

Everything has rules and those rules have limits and those limits are enforced, the fighting is always filled with character and not just "This looks cool" like a lot of other anime today (cough cough demon slayer and My Hero.)

It is a special gem that I loved so much and Greed is my favorite from the show right beside Mustang, Hawkeye and Ed himself. He went through such a crazy arc in this series and I really wish we could've seen more of him. In a world of reboots of famous manga I would love to see a prequel series about the other Greed or even the homonculus from ages ago. Perhaps a series following Ling and Lan Fan and like fragments of Greed are still in him or he even tries to recreate greed somehow idk I would love to see it either way although I doubt I ever will.
