"Parliament of Owls" began as a Dillard original session in my one room cabin up in the rockies a couple years back. I got my hands on the session and it morphed into the collaborative piece it is now. Screeching owls among towering pines, an odd time broken stick rhythm and an old school style oscillation. Minimal and full of breath.

"The bad boys named after Sirius, defined as 'the brightest star in the Earth's night sky', hailing from Rotterdam (NL), have been on our radar for quite a while now. Their 'In Deep State' reaches out to their personal interpretation of the classic Dubstep sound we all have fallen in love with. The duo's roots in Metal shines faded light onto their heavy beats, which are all characterised by their individual specialisation; Joost used to be a drummer and Mous used to play the bass guitar - all to be heard inside a jam full of twists, turns and puzzling constellations. The metalic hits, sublow b-lines and dedicated vocal samples that follow form a convoluted half-step jam that ain't for the faint of heart. “Behind the Line” is a fusion of surreal and melancholic atmospheres , broken drums , glitches and acoustic guitars. A mix of analog and digital sounds that represents the ground noise of the urban space, and the – constant and instantaneous – narration of the perceptions of his inhabitants. Urban space is always more a sequence of transitions, and not of presence: is a succession of places that quickly disappear from the mind of who passes through them. Music is the instrument that allows me to catch all these momentary perceptions. The “line” is the boundary behind that I stand observing this chaotic landscape.
