Big bad Drytek steps up for his debut Chikara EP, “Exodus”, and does not disappoint. The EP’s titular A-side is an 8-minute epic piece comprised of synth swells, haunting vocal echoes and arpeggiated melodies, structured around a snappy, swinging beat. The B-side, “Judgement”, comes through tough as nails, with ominous, droning atmospherics and a tough half stepper of a drum line sure to get the club moving. Drytek rounds off his EP with “Nomad”, which takes a more playful route, mixing low bass stabs and punchy keys with a tight, foley-layered beat.

The “Exodus” EP is out exclusively via The Chikara Project bandcamp on Friday 6th May, and is out across all digital stores and streaming sites on Friday 13th May.

Based in Denver, CORD is a Native American DJ and producer renowned for his innovative blend of creativity and technical mixing skills. Originally from New Mexico, he finds inspiration in the majestic Colorado mountains. With over two decades of DJing experience, he began his journey in the early 2000s with breaks, but discovered his passion for dubstep in 2009, consistently pushing the boundaries of sound while championing the underground music scene.
In addition to his performances, CORD hosts "Bassment Sessions" on Subtle Radio in London, UK, a show dedicated to spotlighting emerging artists, which airs every first Monday from 12 to 1 AM GMT. His artistic vision extends beyond music, encompassing graffiti, art, photography, and design, making him a truly multifaceted creator.
