Onur Özman returns to Sum Over Histories with Panopticon, a 4-track EP exploring the illusion of freedom in modern life. 

Drawing on the panopticon’s concept of unseen surveillance, the release blends deep, atmospheric sound design with a clear conceptual focus, moving from hidden confinement toward a sense of release. The EP also features a breaks-heavy UK bass remix by Odd Occasion, adding an intense and powerful dimension to Özman’s original work.

New Found World is the inaugural release on Aural Medium, Toronto-based non-musician Linus Booth’s new label focussing on revisionist electronic, industrial and no wave music. Remastered from the reels and pressed on double 45rpm vinyl with an unreleased track from the original sessions.

Limited edition of 500 copies. 100 on bone white vinyl, 400 on black vinyl.

Y aquí me hallo, escribiendo estas líneas escuchando la inmejorable selección vinilera que nos tiene preparada este hombre para hoy. Fue hace años cuando tuve el gusto de asistir a la fiesta especial de Lostracks Records / David Lost que se celebró en FemurClub. Lo guardo en el recuerdo como una fiesta increíble en la que no paraba de preguntarme cuál era este o aquel corte que Andreu o David pinchaban uno tras otro sin piedad alguna, la pista patas arriba claro. No podíamos irnos a casa de ninguna forma y creo que el after party se extendió hasta horas obscenas en una casa en la pedanía de Mordor. Mucha más música y buenos momentos para la mochila, algún track apuntado que siempre te conduce a aquel momento: el mío fue el Free Force Structure de Under For, que para mí fue un momentazo en SPecka y que supliqué volver a escuchar más tarde. Andreu tiene un gusto único a la hora de seleccionar, mezclando sabiamente estilos como el industrial, la synth wave, el electro, la ebm, la electrónica de vieja guardia sin desdeñar para nada la música actual, tampoco la escena electrónica nacional. Un viaje en el que las melodías sintéticas se entremezclan con las más crudas frecuencias, inundando tu mente, sumergiéndote de lleno en un mundo futurista, un maquinal baile lleno de emociones. Como lágrimas en la lluvia, diría un replicante conmovido...
