Four Friends and the Narrow Road  
Luke 8:4-15

(Verse 1 – The Seed of Friendship)
Four boys raised up in a dusty ol' town,
Runnin' wild 'cross the fields till the sun went down.
They'd skip rocks on the river, steal apples from the trees,
Wrestle in the fields, laugh easy as the breeze.
Through summer storms and winter's bite,
They would stick together, come wrong or right—
Huntin' dreams under wide-open skies,
No matter what happened, they'd be brothers for life.

What you love,  sets the path you'll keep.
The seeds are planted, what fruit will grow
If you abide in the Vine His Life will show


(Verse 2 – The Sower Comes)
Then Jesus rolled in like a whisperin' wind,
Speakin' of a Kingdom that never will end
Your Heavenly Father only wants what's best--
If you seek first the Kingdom, He'll take care of the rest.
Lose your life for Mine, start anew in the light, 
Love God with all heart, soul, and might.
One friend bristled, clenched his fist tight,
I ain't bowin' down, I got my rights.
But the three knelt down, hearts cracked wide,
Tradin' their chains for the crucified.

(Verse 3 – The Rocks of Persecution)
That first friend turned mean, eyes full of spite,
Huntin' down kin who'd seen the Light.
He'd whisper old sins in the tavern's glow,
Gossip like poison, draggin' 'em low.
Called 'em fools for cleanin up their life,
All his words, cut like a knife.
One finally wilted under the heat,
Embraced the shadows, admittin' defeat.
But two pressed on, though the path grew steep,
Repentin' their past, vows they'd keep.

(Verse 4 – The Thorns of Worry)
Hard times hit like a drought on the plain,
Bills pilin' high, draggin' like a chain.
One chased the dollar, the shine of gold,
Worries took over, turnin' his heart cold.
Jesus became just a Sunday nod,
His life no longer sold out to God.
Cares of this life now filled his thoughts,
His mind soon forgot what Jesus taught.
But one pressed on, through the ache and strain,
Trusting God anew, dancin' in the rain.

(Verse 5 – The Good Soil Bears Fruit)
That last walked alone, though none went along,
Jesus'es Words were keepin' him strong.
Life's a crucible, daily pain like the cross,
Yet joy overflowed, countin' all things loss.
New Fellowship found in Father, Son, and Spirit 
A new Kingdom emerged for those who could hear it.
In faith, hope, and love, friends found new,
They shared God's Love, and lived what's true.

Jesus walked on water and rose from the dead
It's smart to believe and do what he said
pick up your cross and follow every day
His Kingdom is coming, growing every day

Wisdom embraces what it cannot lose,
