I was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the youngest of five siblings. I started my singing career in the children's choir at Olivet Baptist Church in Tenneessee. My family moved to Oakland, CA and I attended the Oakland Public Schools. I went to Laney College then to San Francisco State University where I recieved a BA degree in Sociology with an emphasis in The Family. I  also sang with a Gospel quartet group known as The Zion Crusaders of Denver, Colorado for 10 years.  I released my first gospel cd in 2008 "In Season Songs For The Sin Sick Soul" and my second gospel cd in 2009 "The Spiritual Heart Of Harry Leonard Smyer" with the hit single "All Things Work Together For The Good".  My church home is in Oakland CA at Brookins AME, where I sing in the gospel choir while pursuing my solo gospel artist career. I believe it is for hard times such as these that God has allowed me to sing about His goodness, and His mercies which will help draw all men and women to Christ.
