I am a visual artist, musician and creator.  My music often begins as guitar loops recorded onto a multi-track loop pedal which functions as a 3-track recorder to capture musical ideas which are then arranged into compositions with overdubbing of additional live instrumentation (guitars, bass , keys, drums, percussion) to fill out the sound and make the loops into something more dynamic.  Art-rock guitar riffs are intertwined with electronic elements and the drive of heavy hip hop drums to create something that is dance-able with garage rock grittiness, flowing and atmospheric and also repetitive and angular at times.  The music compliments the aesthetics of the worlds explored in my visual art providing a soundtrack for my imagery.  I hope you enjoy.

Surf and Spaghetti Western band from the U.K.

Bringing classic instrumental Surf Music to the Bay Area and beyond.

Formed in San Francisco in 2008, The Green Door is comprised of Mike Carnahan on lead vocals and guitar, Reese Abell on bass, Evan Wardell on guitar, Vanessa Wolter on drums, and Devin Triplett on electric organ. The Green Door started as a project between Wolter and Carnahan, as they began writing and recording a series of songs blending the raw, desert sounds reminiscent of music scores from Spaghetti Western movies with the uncompromising rhythms of 1960s garage and acid rock. The result is a harmonic force of American myth and counter-culture ideology, best described as “Western psychedelic rock.”  Imagine wild 1960s rock 'n' roll driving through the desert to meet the analog spirits of psychedelia.
