Summer Haze

Arriving shortly after the release of their debut album Harsher than Whiskey/Sweeter than Wine, the three-song Cross of Gold EP provides a preview of the the Senators' sophomore effort, conveying their strong emphasis on roots music and Americana. The Cross of Gold EP showcases the band's charming melodies and old-spirited lyrics anchored in relevant songwriting. The three tracks draw heavily on both historic and traditional imagery. Each has its own unique identity; together they paint a seamless picture of the Indie/Americana landscape ranging from the mandolin-driven, raw pulse of “This Old War” to the spirited, nearly folk-pop track “Belly of the Beast.” The personal and haunting title track is itself a history lesson, drawing from W.J. Bryan’s famed speech of the same name.

Cruel Winds

Yo this track is just hella fun and kinda inspiring, but not like preachy, like in a cool way. Its got a dope ass guitar solo on that shit and like, i dont know one fucking rap song with a whole guitar solo on it, this shit lowkey slaps. Different Than Last Year

The four of us grew up with music in very different ways. We were high-school band geeks, we spun our parents Beatles vinyl as loud as we could get away with, we started crappy punk bands from our garage.

When stars aligned to bring us together in Phoenix, we gave life to melodies that had been in my head for years. It took some time to realize that our music, at its core, stems from the relationships that we have together - its about creating and sharing with each other. These songs speak to love, family, community and the simple beauty of the Southwest.
