Really love Stresshead’s work – both his music and his cool videos – so I was buzzing when he put the Pull Me Into You stems out for people to remix (easily one of my favourite tracks of his so far!).

This one’s a bouncy, housey, floaty, garagey-inspired take that went through about 40 different versions before I finally landed on this one. Had so much fun working on it, and I’m really excited to share it with you all.

The music contained within, while not a panacea for lonely hearts, is a pleasant tranquilliser, offering the kind of numbness that comes from absorbing the cold blue glare of a computer screen at 2 AM. Blending off-kilter pop and ambient with the odd, superficial sincerity of “Lonely Hearts” ads and the incidental sounds of one-sided conversations, there’s a human, confessional edge to the mix as a whole.
