Richie Blacker delivers a classic house pumper,  'Big Time Charlie', the first single from Stress: Club Culture - Vol. 2.

You wouldn’t second guess if someone told you ‘Big Time Charlie’ was straight from the dancefloors of the second Summer of Love in the 90’s. Starting out with a nostalgic beat with a filtered staccato piano slowly rising to meet a lush pad breakdown, the track encapsulates the euphoric feeling of freedom on the dancefloor. 

The Belfast-based DJ and Producer has been making waves in the dance music scene with releases on Skream’s Of Unsound Mind imprint, Anjunadeep and has had releases featured in Beatport’s ‘Hype’ chart. Stress: Club Culture - Vol. 2 is a club-centric compilation, featuring the likes of Danny Howard, Richie Blacker and Ben Hemsley with the full album being released on 25th March 2022.

London duo My Friend first hurtled onto the scene when their unsigned, unreleased tracks debuted on Danny Howard’s BBC Radio 1 ‘Future Fire’ as ones to watch in 2018.  The following years have seen James and Archie build upon these early achievements with releases for Anjunadeep, Stress Records, Nothing Else Matters, and Street Tracks.

Via euphoric melodies and deep and driving tunes, their authentic sound blurs the lines of house, techno and progressive.  On their second single for Waze’s Street Tracks label, My Friend collaborate with The Pressure (Undisputed Music/Mirror Ball Recordings) for the lead track ‘Threaded’.  Elevating piano riffs and fathoms deep bass establish the epic mood, as a contemplative vocal delivers the right amount of emotion for a deep and delicious peak time track.

Accompanying track ‘Shimmer’ is equally as gargantuan, as feel-good vibes are piled on heavy, using well times drops and rolls to accentuate this pleasing melodic banger.

Bristol-based producer and DJ ‘Bacavi’ is back on Fly Boy Records with his latest release ‘Still In Love / Howl’. These are two exceptional club records that demonstrate the different sides to his talent.

‘Still In Love’ is a hard hitting, punchy club tune, featuring the producer's signature intricate synth melodies. Hefty low end, crunchy drums and the emotive vocal hook ‘Still In Love’ make this one an undeniable dance record.

‘Howl’ sees Bacavi experimenting with a deeper, darker side to his sound. Large 808s blend with breakbeat drums to underpin weaving synth lines and a haunting vocal that Bacavi so expertly balances throughout his music.
