On Friday 7th August we invite a true dancefloor manipulator, the don that is Fake Blood, to once again blast our Martin Audio rig with some of his heavyweight constructs. Two years on from when he ventured to our EC1 bunker to launch his effortlessly eclectic <em>FABRICLIVE 69</em> mix the producer has continued to spawn a stream of sonic anarchy from his self-run Blood Music label and Food Music - the imprint ran by Shadow Child and Kry Wolf, who’ve housed his latest flex, the upfront fireball that is <em>Hornets</em>.

Set to join a cast of some of the wider scene’s most outlandish culprits in Room One, he’s kindly given us a little taste of what’s to come by firing over this exclusively new and broadly sculpted mix.

Greek-born DJ and producer NIKKNAME creates music that emerges from deep introspection - an emotional reflection of his surroundings. Moving seamlessly between deep house, melancholic ambient, and moody disco, he unifies diverse sounds with a signature artistic depth. His work has found homes on respected labels such as Robert Johnson and Freeride Millenium.

Stylized in all caps, NIKKNAME’s alias symbolizes the boldness and passion that drive his art. “It’s about expressing my creative spirit,” he says - a philosophy reflected in his evolving yet cohesive body of work. His sound remains dynamic and biographical, bridging his early releases on Traum Schallplatten and Mangali to his current base in Vienna, where his collaboration with Freeride Millenium’s Jorkes marked a turning point. Since then, he’s released solo EPs, appeared on the IMPACT compilation, and co-produced tracks for Ombra International. In 2024, his remix of Jorkes’ Hot and his three-track EP Crossover on Live at Robert Johnson highlighted his artistic evolution.

Beyond production, NIKKNAME explores sound and art through his 80000 Radio show on Res Radio Vienna, and DJ sets at Club Romantica, Prst Vienna, HÖR Berlin, and Radio Rudina. He has contributed to art exhibitions like Partus Gyno (2021) and Lactans (2023), both with artist Claudia Lomoschitz, and collaborated with performer Sebastijan Gec on Huggy Bears (2024). With new cross-disciplinary projects underway, NIKKNAME continues to blur the lines between music, performance, and visual art - always with authenticity and emotion.

The final Parallel Groove of the year comes from our good friend Jonna — Leicester-based DJ, producer, label head, and the force behind Unveil PR, which has become essential to modern music promotion across genres and a major supporter of Cosmic Angles. We first met him in 2015 when he and his City Fly Records partner visited Iceland; their label has released standout music from artists like Kez YM, Red Rack’em, Simbad and more.
For over 20 years, Jonna has played soulful music worldwide — from City Fly basement parties at Sophbeck (RIP) to festivals in Croatia, underground Berlin clubs, and all the way to Tokyo — sharing stages with Roy Ayers (RIP), Children of Zeus, Benji B, Underground Resistance and MCDE.
His releases on labels such as Lumberjacks in Hell, BBE, Shadeleaf Music, Flat White Records and his own City Fly have gained support from BBC 6 Music, Mr Scruff, Jimpster and Derrick Carter. His track Jus Move with Javonntte, featuring remixes from Marcellus Pittman and SoulPhiction (RIP), landed in Juno Records’ Top 10 Best Deep House Records of the year and was Resident Advisor’s Release of the Day.
These days, alongside starting a family, Jonna remains a dedicated record collector and selector. In this DJ mix, he showcases his musical taste built over decades — a deep, timeless journey through the sounds that have shaped him.

He’s played a key role in major hits, including the UK number one KDA’s ‘Rumble’, while also delivering cutting-edge releases on Shall Not Fade, Hot Creations, E-beamz, R&S, and Unknown to the Unknown.

With heavyweight support from Peggy Gou, Bonobo, Gerd Jansen and Carl Cox, 2025 is shaping up to be huge. His Jungle and Breakbeat-Rave inspired album drops late in the year, and we can’t wait for what’s next.
