Mystery surrounds the identity of production combo Claptone. Perhaps it doesn't matter... 
Their first EP "She Loves You" was a mix of sharply floor focused tech-house, deep house and disco blends. Currently No. 4 in the German Club Charts and liked by key-players such as Tensnake, Julio Bashmore, Eats Everything, A-Trak, Matthew Dear and Tim Sweeney - we had to make a quick follow-up.

Made one day before Miami's infamous Rakastella party, premiered there on Will Renuart's “The Kiss” stage and being one of the highlights during a shared slot with DJ Tennis, I was secretly hoping for Running Back to get awarded with it. It basically sums up all the qualities of a DJ Tennis set: you get the highs and lows, the loud and quiet parts, it pogoes and it prances and it's basically impossible to resist his shuffle. “Starck” on the other hand, scales it a bit down, but is equally overwhelming as are the atmospheric respectively cinematic versions of both tracks – less imaginative people might call them ambient. Game, set, match! Thank you, Manfredi!”

Damian Lazarus presents ‘Mountain’ - the opening single from his first solo album for over 10 years.

Released on the 24th July, ‘Mountain’ is a fusion of darkness and light circumnavigating the outer edges of the dance floor. Complete with a Balearic infused remix from Tornado Wallace and deep-chugging transcendental Tibi Dabo Remix to throw the arc wider still. This new body of work, written and recorded by Lazarus at home in Italy during lockdown, is entitled ‘Flourish” and will be released on the 4th September on Crosstown Rebels.
