The Sickbeat es un duo de música electrónica de Barcelona fundado en 2003 que fusiona el estilo de los dos productores que lo forman, Jose Vílchez "Loopnoise" y Julius "Wikter".The Sickbeat abarca un amplio espectro dentro de la electrónica de vanguardia, jugando entre el Electro, Techno, Indie, Progressive, EBM... En el estudio destacan por un sonido contundente y una elaborada producción a base de sonidos sintéticos y samples, aprovechando al máximo los recursos hardware y software. Sobre el escenario buscan un sonido más gamberro y enérgico a base de instrumentos.
Para entender el sonido de The SickBeat hay que saber que Looponoise es productor y Dj, ha realizado sets en varios clubs y festivales de reconocido prestigio (Creamfields, The Loft, etc. ), y Wikter es musico, diseñador de sonido y experto en síntesis modular. Las influencias clave sonTale Of Us, Moonwalk, Artbat, Citizen Kain...
