Female/male duo/couple White Hex released their debut album, 'Heat,' in 2012. 2014 sees their return with the follow up full-length, 'Gold Nights'. The album is the second in a series of three thematically connected records which is based on a period of three years. Recorded after shows in Paris, Berlin, New York and Melbourne, 'Gold Nights' explores Italo disco, minimalist techno and the more primitive end of 1980’s German underground. They embrace their love of high fashion, 1980’s New York vogue techno and the mutant explorations of Whitehouse, Arthur Russell, Craig Leon and Gianni Rossi. 'Gold Nights' retains certain elements of their beloved debut, but moves in a more sophisticated direction as a result of White Hex’s vision and with the help of producer Alex Akers (Forces-Siberia Records). White Hex is Tara Green and Jimi Kritzler.

'Gold Nights' is available June 24th on felte and it records (Australiasia only).

London's Night Czar Amy Lamé brings you first listen of the opening track from Alphabets Heaven's 'Your Lifestyle'.

Your Lifestyle is a mellow beat tape/album about all the small things that fall just below the conscious that make up life in the 21st century. Tote bags, shoelaces, dancing, camera phones, and above all, soft drinks. 

The release takes the sound palette of advertising and daytime TV and somehow makes it cool and irresistible, much like the accompanying limited 'Your Lifestyle' soda, available via the WotNot bandcamp." 

There’s a roughness to the aesthetic here, unlike the artist’s highly-refined EPs on labels like WotNot and King Deluxe, and his remix for Hot 8 Brass Band. However, the mixtape features lavish helpings of the creative and warm sound design with which Alphabets has made his name. Jumping from the more familiar beatsy tracks to bumping 4x4, via spaced out interludes, the music feels like channel-hopping through adverts in a surreal parallel dimension.
