We’re happy to announce Stavroz’s first EP on Moodfamily: 'Silent Spring'. Having already released on labels such as Bedrock, Wired and Délicieuse Musique, the Belgian band is ready for their highly anticipated follow up, delivering an EP ready for sunscreen and ripe for the picking. 

In the title track, frivolous bass guitars accompany a broadly shouldered melody and gently carry the track to glory while a snug piano hides in the breaks, building a beautiful contrast. 'A Great Day to Fly a Kite' brings horns straight from miles high, happily intertwining with a ruthless groove, pushing the atmosphere and delivering a quirky impact on the dance floor. 'Should've brought an Umbrella' graciously closes the EP with a touching - and at the same time organic sound.

This bundle of joy is available in download stores worldwide on April 30th 2015.

"As the green pushes its way through the dirt, and the sun shines its rays onto browning skin, we are delighted to bring you some exceptionally lofty and stunning music, from hot prospect, Modd.

Having given us a sweet lil teaser via remixing Yoram on the uplifting Nocturne, Modd continues to dig deeper into his explorations of house, taking us on a journey with his debut EP for Crossfrontier Audio, the Mensarda EP.

Being the relatively new guy on the scene, doesn’t mean much with Modd, having placed himself in a valuable position after releasing music on labels such as Anjunadeep & Kindisch, his productions are a breadth apart from most, favouring the euphoric and hazy washes of electronic music… each piece is a lull to another world.

With the Mensarda EP we’re given two original and all new tracks to boom out on those hot summer days where moments are magic: Mensarda and Kioki. Choose your poison wisely then, from the slow dripping tribal infused Mensarda that oozes warm tones, to the heightening Kioki where upbeat and vibrant undertones play melancholy with the rhythm.

There is a distinct vibe that Modd’s music provides, that we certainly are attached to, and it’s clear there is plenty more to come from the young upstart, so when these drop, we know there will be some blissful times on the dancefloor…

The Mensarda EP is in all good stores on the 19th June, via Crossfrontier Audio."

Hailing from Volgograd in Russia, Modd a.k.a. Stanislav Klimushin has burst onto the scene in 2017 with a flurry of well received releases on tastemaker labels All Day I Dream and Kindisch. Having debuted with ‘Inki’ on our Anjunadeep Explorations series earlier this year, Modd returns with the four track ‘Guron EP’, showcasing his lush brand of emotive deep house.

Title track ‘Guron’ is a subtle blend of spacey atmospherics and warm grooves, whilst ‘Mohican’ and ‘Tryusolee’ weave dramatic melodies with energetic percussion. Modd rounds off his diverse debut EP with sunset gem ‘Swan Meadow’.
