This lead sound starting at 0:20 reminds me of a track on Synth Dreams, a synth cd released by Edwin Schimscheimer rather a long time ago. That is a co-incidence I suppose.

Made with one instance of Alchemy in Logic, played live for OSC 167. Tried to reproduce the sound i remember playing recitals as a kid in a large hall that was rented out at the time. I used a compressor to ensure no peaks and a channel eq with a gentle shelving cut to remove some low-end flutter I couldn't figure out how to tame with synthesis or Alchemy's built-in EQ. No other plugins. Fun synthesis challenge, combined with a compositional challenge.

Marmoreal Gaze (OSC 167)

My cat Shouf died a couple of years ago. A dear friend of mine lost his cat this weekend and this brought back many wonderful memories of our mysterious, friendly and wise cat Shouf.

This track has been made using 11 instances of Voltage Modular in which I only used free modules from VM Nucleus, R_Ware x Airwindows and Haaschen bij haslo. My DAW has been Cubase Pro 12.
Third Party free VST FX: SuperMassive, Panagement by Auburn, Wider by Polyverse, LaLA by Analog Obsession and a wonderful new freebie by Amalgamated Signals named Clean Machine which I can recommend to everyone to beef up their mixes (compression, limiter and saturation)

Entry for the 169th edition of KVR's One Synth Challenge, using the free Kilohearts synth kHs One. Usually only free effects are allowed but we were allowed to use other Kilohearts effects so I've made use of SnapHeap and Multipass.
