Floss Dogg has gone from strength to strength since she started performing at Primer, an event she co-runs alongside partners Robbie nine-0 and Freddy Gardens since 2017. She plays a mixture of club heat, packing a bag that spans from UK bass and techno to classic house and garage. To further nourish her need to create and share music, Floss created the Astro girl night at Angel Music Bar, a platform which highlights Melbourne’s more underground DJs. Alongside that, she is also the host of Arvo Girls, a monthly Skylab Radio broadcast which doubles as a weekly night at Dr Morse.

A wonderful blend of deep and dear house, melodies and memories throughout, Reece’s mix he describes as almost in ‘two parts’, a progression from ‘house to Detrotier stuff’.

Mantissa Mix 178: DJ Life

Today we mark our 10th Rotations Round (the sun), and we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than with a mix from our first interstate guest, one of the bright minds behind the @neurocrankk parties in Naarm/Melb, Allure (aka Chris @allurein). After being blown away by Chris' mixes, it was clear to us that he's an incredible DJ with an ear for the most interesting sounds. For this mix, Chris has gifted us an absolutely epic, near two hour trip to the outer-realms and back again. He weaves through dreamy Italo-Disco, psychedelic downtempo, goa trance, and IDM - and even features some unreleased material from the other Neurocrank guys! Strap in for a hell of a ride <3

Rotations Round 10: Allure

Any conversation about local producers with the potential for a global audience should feature Fader Cap (FKA Sedgwick). Hailing from Ballarat and now based in Melbourne, the producer/DJ is a bona fide studio head crafting electronic music soaked in hard-hitting electro elements, classic house motif's and warm, ethereal ambient soundscapes. When he's not DJing or performing live club sets on his extensive hardware collection, he looks after the daily operations of the very much favoured Potatoheadz imprint. It's a label releasing the kind of music that will be considered timeless in the not-too-distant future. Sit back and enjoy the sci-fi world of Fader Cap.
