This episode I had on (if you ask me) one of the best of the best newcoming artists of 2022 at the container: The Spy. This year his album Time To Strike landed on Elena Colombi's infamous Osàre! Editions imprint and it's really something special. One of my absolute favs of this year consisting of crunchy, wavey electro rhythms accompanied by synths that touch the soul. Apart from that, his releases span across labels like Brokntoys, Discos Atónicos and Everyone On Acid, which are all very much worth giving a good listen.

Everyone On Acid invites The Spy 27th of June 2020 at Operator Rotterdam

In 2018, Kegffnayy decided to gather new creative minds and released compilation Albums and EP’s on his label called ’Everyone On Acid’. The main idea of this label is to build a platform and bring known artists together with new talented producers on multiple VA releases.In 2020 a new series of radio shows will take place at Operator named “Everyone On Acid Invites” with sets which will be focussing on the characteristic 303 acid sound in different electronic styles. Multiple artists that are involved with the label itself will be invited to play a mix and present you their perspective on modern-day acid.

The Spy was created a year ago, when Wessel Janssen found out he was producing more styles than ever before. After some time working on different electronic vibes, he discovered a new love: electro. Not long after the creation of his new name, a very first release was made: an acid electro track involved in a V/A album on ‘Everyone On Acid’. Later that year there were more releases, alongside artists like The Horrorist, Alessandro Adriani, Jauzas The Shining and Cardopusher.

Prepare yourself for an acid rollercoaster at this show, from EBM to booty bass to punky electro and back.
