We're very happy to have a guest mix from one of the the UK’s finest selectors, Andy Pye. Based in Leeds, Andy is the man behind the Balearic Social radio show and label.

As you'd come to expect from Andy, there is much blissed-out goodness here. Such as ‘Joy Of Brass’ taken from Phil France’s brilliant LP Swimmer from 2013. ‘Accadde A Bali’ by Arawak, an extremely rare and equally expensive record. There’s some soft rock/west-coast goodness such as Richard Torrance's ‘Desert Lady’ from 1978, and Jimmy Webb’s ‘Skylark’, the closing track of his 1977 LP El Mirage. Andy also drops some provocative disco with Susana Estrada’s ‘Gózame Ya!’, from her rather aptly titled 1981 LP Amor Y Libertad.

Our vibe is mellow. Eclectic mixes with styles ranging from ambient/world music to soul, jazz, funk, soft rock/west-coast/AOR, reggae, dub and house. Timeless music that has an overall laidback ‘sunrise’ feel.

Launched in 2021 as THE SUNRISE SESSIONS in partnership with Chris Coco and The Chill Out Tent, the series was initially an audio-visual experience with DJ mixes set to video footage of sunrises captured from locations around the globe.
