THE SWEEPS - Thin Ice (Extended Edit)

Inspired by moments of the late 70s and early 80s.

Founded in the second half of  2006 synth-pop group THE SWEEPS (based in Hamburg/Germany) shares a deep fascination for analog synthesizers, drum computers and vintage keyboards (e.g. the Fender Rhodes E-Piano and Italian string ensembles).
THE SWEEPS has released 10 studio albums (their latest one ARCADE OF DREAMS has seen the light of day in December 2020) by self-distribution so far and appeared on some official compilations or 12" - showing a wide range of influences: mostly POP, 70s & 80s nostalgia, Italo Disco and Wave.
Furthermore the band compiled a `Best Of´2 CD-set "CASCADING STYLE SWEEPS - THE BEST SO FAR" in late 2014. After the sudden and unexpected death of their co-founder Christoph Duwe in early 2021 the band put together 4 compilations "THE WAY WE WERE" & "THE WAY WE WERE 2" in that same year, MUSIC SURVIVES (December 2023) and MUSIC SURVIVES 2 in May 2025 (available digitally on all streaming & download platforms).
