Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, via San Diego, CA, The Tablets are Liz Godoy and Brenden Beu.  Liz was born in Mexico, but met Brenden in San Diego, where they were both involved in the local underground music scene, playing shows with the likes of The Blackheart Procession and The Locust.  

After relocating to NYC, The Tablets released a self-titled full length as well as an EP entitled Ground. Both were received warmly by the press, earning mentions on NPR’s Soundcheck, Brooklyn Vegan, and making it to Impose Magazines’s “Year in Pop 2014” as well as Sound of Confusion’s “The Top 25 Tracks of 2014”. The accompanying self-made/DIY videos for the singles ‘Decoder’ and ‘Ground’ brought further accolades with their minimalist artistry.

They return now with a series of digital and collectible flexi disc singles, to be released throughout 2017.  You can still hear their wide range of influences from 60s garage and pop to dark 80s new wave. Incorporating elements of her favorite childhood Mexican songwriters alongside girl-pop dance, Liz’s understated yet sweet vocal and Farfisa melodies serve as the perfect balance to Brenden’s gritty shoegaze guitar riffs. 

The Tablets's have headlined Bikes Rock, a night of music designed to kick-off the Bicycle Film Festival-Mexico, closed the festivities for the Greenpoint Pre-Apocalyptic Theatre Festival, and performed for the last installment of NYC Fashion's Night Out.

Multi-disciplinary artist Melissa Godoy Nieto, who has created live visuals for the band’s performances, using vintage overhead projectors and found objects, will continue to work with the band throughout their 2017 tour.

Biography:
Ovation is a band based in Sandefjord and Østfold in Norway. The lineup was made compleat when philip and Boss joined the band in 2007. Since then Ovation has held conserts around Skandinavia. Ovation is curently working on there new album and is soon ready to release!
