I almost never post this type of thing -- and I never get into celebrity hero worship, -- but today I feel compelled to do it. For an icon whose timeless records transcend genre, race, and era. A musical genius whose daring innovation taught me so much of what I know. A legend whose music forms a good portion of the soundtrack of my life -- you know how when you hear a song it just automatically brings you back to that one moment in the past? I can say that, literally, I only need to hear the first pulsing synth strings of "Little Red Corvette" or just the first strum of "Purple Rain" to get my emotions going.

It's rather ironic that the one song I often play that can really convey this feeling of sadness, is one I learned through him, from his first film.  If I got some of these notes wrong, please blame it on my head and not my heart. 
RIP Prince Rogers Nelson. There will NEVER be another one like you.
