This song holds a special place in my heart (Martin Hovden) as it's the first of many collaborations with Nixi Music and Txai Fernando as co-producer.

"The Void" marks a departure from our punk rock phase, bringing a tighter production and a 70's rock vibe with less distortion. It's one of the three songs written at the beginning of this project and one of my personal favorites lyrically.

The Void: Set in the bleak corners of society, "The Void" delves into the lives of the marginalized and overlooked. Its verses speak to the silence and invisibility of those who live on the fringes, while the chorus emphasizes the necessity of acknowledging and addressing their pain and presence.

The Tidal Water is a dynamic band blending the rich heritage of rock with the spirited rhythms from '60s until now, with elements of funk, punk, blues, rock and hints of jazz. Our debut album, "Polarity," offers a musical odyssey from introspective ballads to explosive punkish anthems, tackling societal issues across a tapestry of sound that echoes six decades of musical evolution.

Under the lead of our main producer Martin Hovden, Leif Johansen and Txai Fernando mix and/or co-produce songs for "Polarity".

Renato Anesi, our skilled guitarist and bassist, lays down complex riffs and dual bass lines for the record that form one of the backbones of our signature sound. And when veterans like Markus Matland on keys, and Jim Lehner on drums come together, their diverse talents infuse our music with fresh and soul-stirring energies.
