Formada em 2016 na capital paulista, a banda MAKE MAKE chega para buscar seu espaço no cenário do rock alternativo brasileiro trazendo na bagagem referências diversas e a experiência de músicos que já circularam em várias cenas distintas.

Com influências que vão do groove funk do Red Hot Chilli Peppers ao indie garageiro dos Strokes, o Make Make apresenta composições autorais em português cheias de vigor e impactantes.

Após algumas mudanças na formação em seu início, a Make Make, criada por Diego Henri (guitarra e voz) ao lado de Norton Bell (sintetizador e voz), fechou seu time com as entradas de Danilo Bonini (bateria) e Fernando Hound (baixo).

“Velhas Teorias Sobre o Sol”, primeiro disco da banda, gravado em 2016 nos estúdios Nimbus e JRC, será lançado em breve e apresentará 11 faixas com potentes riffs de guitarra, linhas de baixo groovadas e bateria certeira em sintonia com os arranjos marcantes do sintetizador.

As letras, recheadas de referências aos astros, ironia e críticas sobre as falsas promessas da vida contemporânea, grudam na cabeça e abrem novos horizontes para o ouvinte. As músicas servem de trilha sonora para viagens pessoais e trazem à tona temas e sons que atraem mochileiros, viajantes, escapistas e pessoas que conseguem se libertar da rotina através da música. “Queremos que o público se identifique com o que sentimos, por isso tentamos transmitir através de nossas letras toda essa libertação e viagem que a música pode causar”, explica Norton Bell.

O clipe do primeiro single “Sol Sem Fogo”, com cenas gravadas na Pedra Grande, em Atibaia, e no Mad Studios, em São Paulo, traz uma amostra do poder da banda e será lançado em breve na coletânea organizada por Nenê Altro, vocalista e fundador da banda punk nacional Dance of Days, que apresenta a nova cena do rock de São Paulo

Com o pé na estrada, a Make Make fez seu show de estreia em dezembro de 2016 subindo ao palco de um dos maiores templos da música independente brasileira, o mítico Hangar 110, em São Paulo.

“Em um domingo bem típico paulistano, nublado, a casa recebeu um bom público que apreciou a banda e dançou do início ao fim da apresentação, que abriu a noite para as já consagradas Display e Menores Atos”, conta Diego Henri.

Pronta para alçar novos vôos, a Make Make promete usar 2017 para ir cada vez mais longe e mostrar que há um lobo em todos nós.

Movement, progression and utilising opportunities have been ever-present in The Spitfires’ camp since their emergence back in 2012 and what a journey that has been thus far…

Three self-financed albums, a diary logged with live shows and an ever-rabid fanbase continues to see the youthful trio looking forward on their self-built wave of positivity…”it’s not where you’ve been that matters, it’s where you’re heading that’s important” - for The Spitfires that means right now with imminent new album, Life Worth Living.

It’s release marks the start of a relationship with the similarly minded Acid Jazz Records whilst realising their hopes and aspirations both on a creative and personal level. The sound of a band who have made significant strides artistically, absorbing influences, inspired by events and inspirations before melding into their own forms and sounds. Whether within its less frenetic  and introspective moments or its more provocative outings, Life Worth Living is chock full of tunes, an album that is forthright and self-assured.

Having amassed a loyal support, the band have tasted chart success with their previous releases emerging with their own political, acute social commentary. The impassioned rhetoric has prompted support slot invitations from amongst others, Paul Weller and The Specials. Emboldened with genuine passion and pop nous, this fiercely independent trio look set to break out to a wider audience with Life Worth Living

A diverse mixture of unadulterated joy and melancholy, laughter and tears, frustration and tranquillity it mirrors what turbulent times we live in but at its heart is the most important message; a sense of hope that things and events will improve and we all need to aspire to the pertinent title of the album. A message that is important , irrespective of time and place no more so than now. Life Worth Living, available on all formats is released on 5th June through Acid Jazz Records.

Sendo  a  zona  leste  de  São  Paulo  local  de  origem  de  uma  cena garageira que nunca perdeu fôlego, Os Estilhaços não poderiam ter se formado em  outro  cenário.  Diretamente  influenciados  pela  psicodelia dos  anos  60  e bebendo na fonte de grupos de garage punk da época (The Seeds, Count Five, Electric  Prunes,  Music  Machine),  a  banda  mostra  composições  próprias e covers,  já  tendo  tocado  em  lugares  como  Spades  Café,  Trackers  (famoso reduto alternativo no centro da capital paulistana), Astronete e festivais como o Grito  Rock,  que  acontece  anualmente,  em  mais  de  duzentas  cidades,  emdiversos países. 

Caio Sérgio (ex-Haxixins [vocal/guitarra]) e Felipe Caponne [guitarra] se  uniram  aos  amigos  de  longa  data  Paulo  Nobre  e  Alexandre  Xéu  (ex-Panoramas [baixo/bateria respectivamente]) e convidaram Cristina Alves [órgão]  para  completar  o  time.  Atualmente  estão  consolidando  o  repertório  e gravaram  algumas  faixas  que  só  poderiam  alcançar  a  desejada  sonoridade sessentista com o equipamento analógico e o toque do amigo e produtor Jonas Morbach  (The  Blackneedles/Berlin  Estúdio). Após  algum  tempo  de  estrada  e com  a  saída  de  Felipe,  seguem  como  quarteto,  sem  perder  sua essência sonora. 

O  som  d'Os  Estilhaços  demonstra  fielmente a  obscuridade  da  cena garage. Nas apresentações ao vivo, o público acaba se sentindo nos próprios anos  60,  em  meio  àquela  atmosfera  primitiva  em  que  cada  instrumento contribui com a viagem coletiva, sempre repleta  de muito fuzz das guitarras, a levada  marcada  da  bateria  e  do  baixo,  completando  com  o  órgão  que  flui derretido por cada uma das músicas. Vale abrir mão da consciência por alguns momentos e se deixar levar pela viagem ácida d'Os Estilhaços.

As Sao Paulo's east side is home of a garage scene that never lost breath, Os Estilhaços could not have been formed in another scenario. Directly influenced  by  '60s  psychedelia  and  drinking  at  the  fountain  of  garage  punk groups  of  that  era  (The  Seeds,  Count  Five,  Electric  Prunes,  Music  Machine), the  band  shows  its  own  compositions  and  covers,  having  already  played  in places as CIAM, Spades Café, Trackers (a famous alternative stronghold in São Paulo downtown) and festivals as Grito Rock, event held annually in over two hundred cities in several countries. 

Caio  Sergio  (ex-Haxixins  [vocals  /  guitar])  and  Felipe  Caponne [guitar]  joined  their  longtime  friends  Paulo  Nobre  and  Alexander  Xéu  (ex-Panoramas  [bass  /  drums  respectively])  and  invited  Cristina  Alves  [organ]  to complete  the  team.  They  are  currently  consolidating  the  repertoire  and  they have  recorded  some  tracks  that  could  only  achieve  the  desired  sixties  sound with  analog  equipment  and  touch  of  the  friend  and  producer Jonas  Morbach (The  Blackneedles  /  Berlin  Studio).  With  some  time  on  the  road  and  after Felipe's  leaving,  the  band  continues  as  a  quartet,  without  losing  its  sound essence. 

The sonority of Os Estilhaços faithfully demonstrates the obscurity of garage  scene.  In  live  performances,  the  audience  feel  themselves  in  the  60's, inside  that  primitive  atmosphere  in  which  each  instrument  contributes  to  the collective trip, always filled with plenty of fuzz guitars, the strong rhythm of the drums and the bass, supplementing with organ that flows melted in each song. Worth giving up consciousness for a few moments and get carried away by the acid trip of Os Estilhaços.
