UN/WAV04 - KĀ - FRACTURED.SYSTEM.ANTI.SYSTEM

STH WNR: I think the title of the mix should give some insight to the feelings and emotions that I went through trying to get this mix together, or any mix in fact. I really wanted to showcase my own style and the type of sound that got me to fall in love with the genre. It's a very surreal feeling when you get the opportunity to put something out that you really enjoyed doing, so, I'm just going to ride the wave and enjoy every second of it.

UN/WAV07 - STH WNR - Nervous Conditions

Rhys Mømsen born and bred Johannesburg based DJ and Producer. Also known as one of the Co’s of plugcity networks SA. His music ranges between different genres to make one complete sound, driven by profound, low end bass lines with a wide variety of unorthodox, offbeat Sonics that are mingled together to make his sound, truly unique. A key ingredient to his music is the slapdash percussion, that is oddly scattered through out.

The evolving talent on the rise is one not to over do it and focuses on the cleaner aspect of mixing allowing the music to do all the work. Another huge factor in his eyes is the flow of music keeping everyone “in da groove”. He thrives on controlling people’s emotion through out his mixing.

UN/WAV08 - Rhys Mømsen - Threatening Textures

I'm so grateful to have been asked to do something for the UN/ crew. It took me a while to really know what I wanted to do. I've noticed how the past invites have showcased so much freedom when it comes to musical and artistic choice. Making me feel like I could do something I haven't done yet, which I have been wanting to do for quite some time. I haven't yet had the platform to do something like this, so I'm really happy that I now have that opportunity. 

I've been in a huge process of reflection over the past month, having just turned 22. I've had the urge to look in the past. I've been feeling a sense of nostalgia and emotion thinking back on all I have been and through and experienced. So with all of that, I dug into the collection, to record. It's full of music I have been waiting to share and express with. Very ambient and low tempo, all resonating deeply to this period of reflection. UN/WAV09 - Juan Pierre - Seasonal Dissociation

For our 10th volume of UN/WAVEFORM we have invited BRAQUE to share vibration onward from Amsterdam for our international artist spotlight! This mix is titled "Floating Derision Around Loneliness" We have paired this weeks release with a radical artwork from Andrea Giraudier from Spain, who is based in Berlin currently. 

"Recorded around the feeling of loneliness and the ambiguity between our social life and our inner self. The feeling of being outside of the social dynamic is something some of us experience and think about, yet, being with other people to see, hear and touch, to experience life is present deep inside. The approach of this duality is, for me, the same as floating from a side to another and playing my inner desire. This is what this mix is about, a mix between introspection and expression. 

Thank you UN/BIOME to create a place where everyone can express the way they feel and create a unique experience. Also, thank you to have thought of me for your waveform, I have a real pleasure and enthusiasm to do it with you. "
