Lainey Kate, (previously known at KVTE) has been a DJ for six years, and has recently made a comeback in the Calgary scene after taking a 1.5 year long hiatus from playing shows. Her sets are influenced by the acid sound, throughout the genres she plays. You can find her playing spacey/groovy tech house, emotional melodic/deep house, and also high energy techno sets in the Calgary area. In 2021, she made her festival debuts in Calgary, at Badlands Music Festival and Chasing Summer Family Reunion. Opening up for artists such as Offaiah, Cosmic Gate Raven and J.Worra; her shows have taken her all the way to Texas where she has played events in Austin, and Dallas alongside the likes of Talldoor Records and a festival in San Marcos with Apogee Presents: Martian Arts Festival. Lainey Kate is currently affiliated and can be seen playing shows in Calgary with Beehive Presents, Blueprint, Cynikil Entertainment, Technu, Pop-Up Series, After Hrs Club and The UnderRealm.
