ALBUM MEANING:
Lowlight Magic by DROPLITZ is a bass music voyage to the bottom of the soul’s ocean to transmute dark energies into magic. Only through embracing the full spectrum of emotion, do you become buoyant enough to rise from the lowlight and stay afloat.

This twenty two song flood will wash away worries and replace them with dreams. It’s magical! Ethos of personal transformation drift through every song as the underlying motif. Both albums embody wave and trap music primarily with distinct splashes of phonk, deep dubstep, and future garage for an impactful downtempo journey.

Together Lowlight Magic is a story about transformation and achieving inner peace. Lowlight Magic reveals the dichotomy between the heart and mind. As stand-alone albums, “Lowlight LP” is symbolic of the heart and the “Magic LP” reflects the mind. The entire experience is filled to the brim with meaningful quotes, aquatic harmonies, danceable beats, and liquid bass lines suspended in an underwater, urban setting.

RELEASE DATE SIGNIFICANCE:
The release date is a profound and special time of the year. 11.22.2022 was strategically chosen through intuition back in April of 2022. Lowlight Magic being released on this date with angel numbers 1’s and 2’s allows manifestation and balance to potentially bless the listener. November, is when winter hits, when the seasonal sadness hits, when the cold hits, when the eclipse can happen, when the people begin to grow tired as the days grow shorter and darker. Lowlight Magic is to give way to the space needed during these melancholy times.

Mutual Arising

We are pleased to welcome NYC's Nutritious to Paper with his first full E.P. for the label and 5 tracks of wonky, mutant disco-house. Warped out synths, distorted acid and other fuzzy disco stylings are all present in a psychedelic haze.

I Love Mitsubishis is a 7 am sludge disco chugger and a love letter to the *ahem* famous Japanese car manufacturer. The track comes on like an ALFOS fever dream with whacked out bleeps and squeaks, and an underlying groovy as heck bass line.

Erewhon is a much smoother affair that is slo-mo, spacey and a little bit 90s; perfect for for sunsets and early door alike.

Prince Shoes is straight up funk disco with popping bass, synth runs and a sleazy beat. The vocoder voice breakdown tops this off into a jazz-funk bomb.

I Don't Mind goes straight in with electro funk stabs, broken beats and a chopped up, pitched vocal but with soul leanings. One to roll out the lino for some poppin' n lockin'.

Finally, Faith 909 is a deep, cold wave, hypnotic techno cut fused with rolling bass and a whole load of cosmic. There's a simple vocal shot hook as the tracks sucks you in to it's world.

The 4-track EP, (released by Headtunes Recordings on July 10th) features two originals as well as a remix of each.  It is the follow up to his last release The Ride. Do It Proper is one of the aliases of Lee Jarvis, a London born house and techno DJ, producer and jack-of-all-trades who currently resides in Chicago.

Veteran producer Leon Switch comes to Sub Pressure with a 4-track EP that plays with the boundary of what can be considered "Deep Dubstep."  Perhaps these tunes are too aggressive to fall into the category of the dungeon, dark, Deep Dubstep sound.  Yet, too controlled and refined to be lumped into the crate with Dirty Dubstep.  These tracks find themselves in a space all their own, moody but moving.
