Tsuruda is an icon in the ever-evolving bass and beats scenes. Prolific and fearless, this classically trained, LA-based producer and DJ mashes experimental hip hop with avant garde electronics on releases for Daddy Kev’s Alpha Pup, Noisia’s Division and Mat Zo’s Mad Zoo imprints, while collaborating and touring with the likes of Mr Carmack and Amon Tobin. But more than any cosign, it’s Tsuruda’s bleeding edge sound design and neck-breaking funkiness that has inspired a legion of underground fans; it’s also earned him bragging rights as winner of the 2021 Goldie Awards, the beat competition (judged by A-Trak, Craze and Baauer) where these four Fool’s Gold tracks were born. We have had great success with our first series of VA releases called Edition, for which there were 3 parts. This year, we present our next Various Artists release, named Atlas. 

This LP features both established artists and newcomers to the scene, as well as label staples and label newcomers. Atlas features Deft, Visages, Drone, Nymfo, Monty, Alix Perez, Echo Brown, Foreign Concept, Headland, Safire, DRS, Nymfo, and of course, Eprom. Atlas is a journey through numerous styles and tempos, showcasing a group of the most talented artists in bass music today.

Atlas/ 1 will be released on digital on 9th July 2021 - and also as a 3 piece vinyl set which will be available for shipping in September.

'Be The Glitch' is a 140 BPM breakbeat journey that moves between soaring flute melodies, choral stabs, and a bass-driven drop. Opening with Marianne Williamson’s iconic Our Deepest Fear quote, the track frames resistance and disruption not as chaos, but as empowerment. Later, the flutes and choir return, softening the weight of the low end and carrying the track to its close; leaving listeners with both impact and reflection. In its final statement, it dares listeners to become the glitch in the system.

We’re excited to present Seppa’s second album, ‘Split’. Deep underground was a vast network of tunnels. As the majority of the GasPod population slithered through the drudgery of their day-to-day lives on the surface, a small group were pushing themselves to reach something profound. They hadn’t named themselves—what they were trying to achieve transcended that in their minds. They met four times a year, miles underground, in a space which had existed for far longer than any records of slug kind. It was a large, domed space, gently illuminated by some kind of gently glowing fungus. It was possibly the warped result of industrial waste draining into the ground above, but nobody could say definitively one way or the other. The hunch was that it was much older than that. The fungus seemed to have been trained into patterns resembling letters in an alien language, or maybe it was just a trick of the mind trying to make order from chaos.

Specifically, we wanted to track our favorite artists, search upcoming local area events, and listen to music samples from a variety of electronic music genres.
