Following a stellar vinyl release, Classic’s remix package of Folamour’s ‘Re-Interpretations #1’ has now been given a digital release, featuring three mixes of the blissful tracks from the French DJ/producer. First up is Afrobeat producer Austin Ato’s jacked up version of ‘Ivoire’ where a disco-infected groove seamlessly intertwines with a slow sax and soft drums. The unwavering groove of Folamour’s production is paid due respect with thatmanmonkz 8 Minutes Of Funk Remix of ‘Ya’ll Right’, where the Classic contributor brings the tempo up and weaves in some heavy percussion. Finally, Byron The Aquarius brings his jazz-house sound to the release, giving the exquisite ‘Look At Me Or I’ll Steal Your Eyes’ a new velvety smooth funk.

Amp Live lives up to his title as one of California’s most versatile and prolific producer-DJ double-threats with the release of his album, MZOZO, now available on Gravitas Recordings. The pieces symbolize Anthony’s embrace of the future, as his forward-thinking inclination to eliminate boxes and labels manifests within the eclectic tracks. Contrasting from previous dreamy lo-fi and experimental projects, MZOZO, titled after the Swahili word for ‘conflict,’ is a progression into heavier bass music and represents Anthony’s change in pace and exploration. This fresh direction affirms his status as an innovative multi-genre experimenter that does not focus on one singular sound. True to his notable technique of infusing hip hop and electronic music, the six euphonious tracks draw listeners on a voyage across multi-genre acoustic environments that include various sensational collaborations.

Featuring Zyme, “Riott” launches the album off high energy by blending hip hop alongside funky bass and a tasty sax riff. Amp Live and Monika Santucci continue the party in “You Know,” with claps to introduce the heavy bass and a fierce horn that constructs the pathway into an electronic wave. Greeted by a flute and spacey trap beat, listeners encounter turntable action in “Dropz,” which signals a new and unconventional route onto another feel-good expedition. With recent appearances on platforms such as The Untz, and Surrealist Records, as well as collabs with artists like ION and Big City, it's evident that this artist is making waves in the underground bass music scene. He is constantly reforming his sounds and looking for ways to showcase his unique take on production design. Keep your ears to the ground to stay in tune with what this outside the box thinker does next. His fluidity and determination is inspiring and we're happy to support him on his artistic journey.

Rolling since 1976, RDU98.5fm is now the only bastion of alternative radio in Christchurch.

As fans of electronic music, we were frustrated having to search so many websites to find the information we were looking for.  Specifically, we wanted to track our favorite artists, search upcoming local area events, and listen to music samples from a variety of electronic music genres.  We wanted to visit one website for all of our electronic music informational needs.  The Untz was created to fill this void.

The Untz connects the entire electronic music community of fans, artists and promoters.  The website is designed to allow artists and promoters to add information and music.  We organize all of this information so fans can easily search for, track, and share it.
