Vellas, named after the Tamil word for "roaming and free", have roots in both Sheffield and Derby, England with 2 members from each city. They set out to write hard-edged, melodic guitar songs informed by Echo and the Bunnymen, The Strokes and the stonewalls of Sheffield.
