Cut Copy (sometimes stylised as Cut/Copy) are an Australian synth-pop band formed in 2001 by Dan Whitford (vocals, keyboards and guitar). Originally a home-recording project, the band now includes Tim Hoey (guitars), Ben Browning (bass guitar), and Mitchell Scott. Cut/Copy is a GRAMMY® nominated, ARIA award-winning musical act with numerous festival-headling slots and over 1,000 sold-out headline shows spanning several continents to date. The quartet’s studio albums include In Ghost Colours, which Pitchfork named as one of the best albums of 2008 and among the top albums of the 2000s, and 2011’s Zonoscope, which won two ARIA Awards and was nominated for a GRAMMY®. Their last album, 2017’s Haiku From Zero, represented the band at their most refined and efficiently emotive. Dubbed ‘Arabian Fuzz’ by the band and a “psych-rock storm” by Uncut magazine, Al-Qasar’s psychedelic rock is brazenly electric and deeply connected to its roots. The four-piece was formed in the Barbès neighbourhood of Paris in 2015, a suburb known for its large north African population. Like a psychedelic celebration on the dancefloor, their music bristles with a deep energy and grooves that build from bass, drums, and percussion. Electric saz and guitars build a wailing wall, while ecstatic Turkish Arabic vocals inspired by tradition soar above. Al-Qasar’s music never wavers, pulling from the hypnotic roots of North African trance and threading it into a fabric with the elaborate beauty of Arabic scales and the shock and thrill of rock’n’roll. The collective has performed at renowned international festivals such as Pukkelpop, Lowlands, Sziget, TransMusicales and Reeperbahn and their debut 2022 album Who Are We?, was described as “pretty bitchin’” by Iggy Pop on his BBC6 Radio show Iggy Confidential. Robert Owens ) is an American songwriter, record producer, DJ and singer, best known for his work with the Chicago house group Fingers Inc. in the mid-1980s. As a solo artist, he has placed several songs on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, two of which hit number-one: "I'll Be Your Friend" (1992).

Though electronica has typically been a producer's medium (and the few vocalists who succeed are usually women)Robert Owens became one of the people associated with the late-1980s golden era of Chicago house. Born in Ohio, United States, Robert Owens grew up singing in church, but years later, he was working as a DJ in 1985, when he met Chicago producer Larry Heard. The pair formed Fingers Inc., along with Ron Wilson, and they released a few singles ("You're Mine"/"It's Over") plus the 1988 album, Another Side. The group disbanded quickly, as Heard's burgeoning solo-production career (as Mr. Fingers)

Treavor Moontribe of Desert Dwellers played a nearly 6 hour set recently at Moontribe Collective's 22 Year Anniversary! It was the closing set of a 2 day event that started Sunday night and ended Tuesday evening to align with June's full moon. The set started around 2pm Tuesday and took place in a magical location in the high desert of California. It spans many genres, going on a full journey of audio bliss!!! Enjoy!
