Cut Copy (sometimes stylised as Cut/Copy) are an Australian synth-pop band formed in 2001 by Dan Whitford (vocals, keyboards and guitar). Originally a home-recording project, the band now includes Tim Hoey (guitars), Ben Browning (bass guitar), and Mitchell Scott. Cut/Copy is a GRAMMY® nominated, ARIA award-winning musical act with numerous festival-headling slots and over 1,000 sold-out headline shows spanning several continents to date. The quartet’s studio albums include In Ghost Colours, which Pitchfork named as one of the best albums of 2008 and among the top albums of the 2000s, and 2011’s Zonoscope, which won two ARIA Awards and was nominated for a GRAMMY®. Their last album, 2017’s Haiku From Zero, represented the band at their most refined and efficiently emotive. Cut/Copy have managed the clever hat trick of simultaneously expanding their sound while also refining it.  They join us tghis week on The Vinyl Collector.

Jude Alexander has over twenty five years experience performing live at premium music festivals, clubs and high-end corporate events. 
Most recently he has brought his Dj talents to Richmond hotspot, "The Aviary" and CBD icon "Bar Lourinha." 

Over the years Jude has consistently pushed and developed his unique sound. Versatility is one of his best traits and influences are drawn from artists like Francois Kervorkian, DJ Harvey, Dave Angel and Laurent Garnier.

Jude’s has a massive collection of Vinyl and Cd’s that consists of Afro beat –Dub-Disco, Indie -Pop " Funk & Soul and World Music, while simultaneously touching upon, Sharon Jones, Can, Happy Mondays and James Blake and every in between.

Not only has Jude mastered being a Dj, in 2004 Jude started producing, playing live electronicia with long time friend Michael Welford. The live act would be called “Fenetik”, and they continued on bringing there deep progressive soundscape to music festivals and electronica club nights throughout Australia.

Throughout his career Jude Alexander has supported major international artists playing alongside; Brennan Green (US), Richie Hawtin (can) Derrick May(US), Jeff Mills(US), James Holden(UK).

Treavor Moontribe of Desert Dwellers played a nearly 6 hour set recently at Moontribe Collective's 22 Year Anniversary! It was the closing set of a 2 day event that started Sunday night and ended Tuesday evening to align with June's full moon. The set started around 2pm Tuesday and took place in a magical location in the high desert of California. It spans many genres, going on a full journey of audio bliss!!! Enjoy!
