Framework presents the fourth edition of TOWER Imports, a limited mix series designed to incorporate international artists into New York's TOWER project.

This entry comes from Eastern Distributor, the stage name of Naarm-based artist Daniel Jakobsson, a versatile creator pushing the boundaries of electronic music.

Eastern Distributor focuses on a rich tapestry of deep, syncopated basslines and minimalist, crisp percussion. Tracks unfold with ambient, evolving soundscapes that create an atmospheric backdrop, inviting exploration and introspection within its rhythmic foundation. 

"I'm so excited to be sharing this mix for the Framework/TOWER series. I love the concept, this particular mix is inspired by the glass component in the construction of the tower. I leant toward choosing dynamically wide tracks; low end and layered high frequency percussion. One and a half hours of shifting between experimental, dubstep, liquid and plenty of tek. The Aquarium V/A Vol. i features 15 tracks spanning the entire scope of this amphibious dancefloor. The compilation surges through a journey into the minds and waves of 17 producers, navigating an underwater sound consistent in its diversity. From the wobbling pulse of Big Leg’s Jelly Dub Luv (ft. RexL) to COLA REN’s dreamy seabed roll, the filmic nostalgia of eoin DJ’s Things In Life, and the more danceable sound of E-Talking’s Être un autre ohm, each track is a love letter to every corner of the Aquarium’s deep blue.

The selection is curated by the team behind Fandango, and will be donating all profits to the marine conservation charity Blue Ventures. The charity was chosen to contribute back to marine life without which sounds and swells of aquatic bass could not exist. Blue Ventures works with small-scale local cultures and economies to support their natural ecosystems, ensuring a fair distribution of resources.

5. Jay Duncan - Smoke Hazard

IDA022 is an impeccable four-tracker from prolific future-vision producer Dawn Razor, who has been recognized by numerous well-respected labels and producers. For this release, he joined forces with his longtime studio friend ArcheTech.

Stone Forest starts with hypnotic, trippy progressions, wonky pianos, and emotive soundscapes, all built on groovy broken beats.

Doom continues with deep bass and breakbeat cuts, accompanied by twirling synth lines, granular emotive textures, dreamy arpeggios and detuned bleeps.

Soul Diffuse shifts to sampled gated percussions and swung rhythms, blushed with wonkily tuned synths that bring a psychedelic out-of-body experience.

Amby Duty closes the EP with an sci-fi ambient sound-art palette, carrying your mind to different places.

In the end, these carefully crafted sound details weave together into a mesmerizing journey. Enjoy!
